NEW MOUAWAD BOUTIQUE OPENS ITS DOORS IN RUE DU RHONE, GENEVA

Geneva, September 18th, 2016: The renowned 126-year-old diamond house, Mouawad, has opened a glittering new boutique in Rue du Rhône 8, in Geneva, Switzerland, marking the newest addition to Mouawad boutiques around the world.

Located just steps from the Place Bel-Air, the new showroom enjoys a strategic position in the exclusive part of the most prestigious shopping street of Geneva and the banks area: Rhône 8. As a new generation boutique, it offers an uplifted approach to the brand, as envisioned by the company’s co-guardians, Fred, Alain, and Pascal Mouawad, since they took over the family business in 2010.

“We are delighted to announce the opening of what we call our second ‘new-generation’ boutique in the very heart of the city of Calvin. Not only does this boutique reflect Mouawad’s continued expansion and growth in the world, it also captures the forward-looking vision as to how the brand enchants its customers,” Alain Mouawad explains.

The new-generation boutique concept brings to life the true essence of the House in every nuance and subtle detail, in order to ensure that visitors have the opportunity to truly enjoy and immerse themselves in the Mouawad brand experience. Adds Fred Mouawad: “We have taken great care to create a boutique that reflects in every way the luxury and careful refinement of Mouawad. We want our clients to have a memorable and enchanting experience unlike any other, and we believe we have achieved this.”1mouawad-foudimages-03-1

For his part, Co-Guardian Pascal Mouawad further commented on the new boutique opening, saying: “Our new Geneva boutique aims to capture and epitomize the very essence of the brand, starting from the innovative displays and décor to the highest levels of quality and service. We believe that patrons to our boutique in Rue du Rhône will enjoy a unique shopping experience in luxury shoppers’ paradise.”

Visitors to the Rue du Rhône Mouawad boutique can look forward to the stylish elegance of distinctive décor in the Mouawad corporate colors of grey and gold. They will also enjoy the sophisticated and welcoming ambience, a worthy setting in which to explore Mouawad’s creations ranging from boutique collections to magnificent high jewelry and Swiss-made timepieces.

Featured in the new boutique is one of Mouawad’s latest masterpieces, the Divine Muzo Pears diamond and emerald suite. Encompassing five tremendous pear-shaped, vivid green emeralds from the heart of Colombian mines, and ravishing motifs of icy white diamonds, this set will be exclusively showcased at the Rue du Rhône 8 showroom, celebrating its opening. The boutique also has the added advantage of a dedicated watch area, where visitors can discover the exclusive range of limited-edition, handcrafted signature Mouawad timepieces, as well as a bridal corner, where brides-to-be can explore stunning creations with personalized advice.

With its high concentration of high fashion boutiques, gold jewelry and diamonds, luxury watches, banks, and offices, the Rue du Rhône is probably the most exclusive street in Switzerland and Mouawad is proud to be part of it.

Diamond Manufacturing

In addition to its jewelry and timepiece design and production, Mouawad also manufactures rough diamonds as a Diamond Trading Company (DTC) Sightholder, which grants it a direct and unique access to conflict-free rough diamonds and gemstones, sourced and purchased in countries that are full participants in the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme.

1mouawad-14-1Diamonds and gemology have always been a passion for the Mouawad’s, and besides being renowned for fine jewelry and timepieces, the Mouawad family has acquired over the years some of the largest and rarest diamonds in the world, and many of these historic gems carry Mouawad as part of their designated name. The family’s ongoing support of the global industry through research and education led to third-generation Robert Mouawad receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and having the GIA campus named in his honor.
