Dubai, UAE; April 2, 2017: Majid Al Futtaim’s City Centre Mirdif presented its collaboration with the popular eco-friendly kids group ‘Trashion’ on March 31 and hosted its final Spring Summer runway show on April 1 presenting modest fashion collections from retailers housed in the mall yesterday, on April1.

Underscoring Majid Al Futtaim’s commitment to strive towards a more sustainable environment, City Centre Mirdif, in partnership with ‘Trashion’, featured an exciting display full of youthful creativity and promoted messages of environmental responsibility.

On March 31, many gifted children showcased their designs, made using recyclable materials and the top three young designers. The audience was captivated and moved by the worthy show, encouraging them to think towards creating a positive, greener world.

Lastly, the top three designs were awarded with cash prizes; Rasmiya Raushani, who received AED 5,000 for first place; Dhyana Ganatra who received AED 2,500 for second place and Rei Kassandra took home AED 500 for third place.

Driven by the strong demand for clothing defined within the parameters of modesty this trend has been gaining momentum within the global fashion industry with leading designer brands creating bespoke collections.

One April 1, the mall also hosted family entertainment prior to each runway show featuring a collective of fashion brands including Riva, Kashkha, NU, Juicy Couture, Forever 21, Koton, Stradivarius, Jennyfer, Garage, Muji, Cotton On and Accesorize.

Additionally, until April 15, visitors who shop AED250 at City Centre Mirdif will have the opportunity to win a AED20,000 shopping spree every week. Shoppers can double their chances of winning if they spend at any of the fashion outlets in the mall. Additionally, visitors who spend AED600 during weekdays can win instant prizes.
