Cho Gao Marina Walk opens in the capital
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 4th July, 2017: InterContinental Abu Dhabi’s latest gastronomic experience Cho Gao has opened at InterContinental Abu Dhabi offering lunch, dinner and casual lounge dining.
Meaning ‘rice market’ in Vietnamese, Cho Gao pairs creative Asian fusion cuisine with culinary expertise, with signature dishes from Indonesian, Japanese, Vietnamese and Thai cuisine available in a chic and stylish waterfront setting, overlooking the marina.
One of the capital’s most exciting new culinary offerings, the 270 indoor and outdoor seating restaurant will offer three distinct dining areas, where guests will be transported across Asia to Jakarta and Tokyo via Hanoi and Bangkok whilst enjoying the magnificent marina views. Boasting four signature areas – a chic yet intimate restaurant, a relaxed sushi bar, a beautifully lit lounge area where a resident DJ creates an urban Asia environment and a beautiful outdoor terrace overlooking the marina.
Cho Gao features hanging paper lanterns, reminiscent of a traditional floating barge, alongside a wall of authentic art pieces and antiques sourced from Indonesian, the bar area features bamboo lighting which creates a stunning evening ambiance, whilst the open sushi bar allows diners to watch as the chefs prepare their dishes.
Signature dishes include Thai Roasted Duck Red Curry with pineapple, grape & Thai basil, or the Chinese Black Pepper Beef with bell peppers and spring onions. Created specially with the flavour of Cho Gao Marina Walk, the dishes are inspired by a multicultural kitchen team lead by Executive Chef Christopher Curtis. Other favourites include the Vietnamese Banana Blossom Salad with chicken, shallots, toasted peanuts and chilli.
Cho Gao Marina Walk will be open for dinner from 18:00 to 01:00 and in September the restaurant will also be open for lunch from 12:30 to 15:30.
