Palette Art presents ‘Share and Care’ exhibition
- 20 renowned artists of UAE, Bahrain and India have participated in the ‘share and care’ exhibition exhibiting 28 paintings and craftworks
- An initiative to honour 2017 as the ‘year of giving’ as announced by the Union Government
- A percentage of the sale proceed is likely to be donated to a registered charity organisation based in UAE
Dubai, November 14, 2017 – The Palette Art Training and Consultancy has inaugurated ` Share and Care’ art exhibition on Wednesday, 8th November at the Orient Guest House, in the historic district of Bastakiya in the august presence of Dr. Mohammad Yousef, a veteran artist and faculty member of Sharjah University’s art department, Mr. Khalil Abdulwahid Hassan, manager of Art section, project and event department, Dubai Culture Authority. The other distinguished guests for the inauguration were artist Ahmed Rukni, artist Ahmed Alfalasi and Peter Gressmann, fine art dealer and founder of artforumuae.
A group of 20 renowned as well as upcoming artists of UAE, Bahrain and India have showcased their artwork based on themes of love and compassion, hope and humanity, equality and serenity…TApart from pure arts, there are crafts as well made of paper cut and Thy clay. The exhibition has been conceived thinking in mind the Union Government initiative of declaring 2017 as the year of giving and hence the name ‘ Share and care’. A proceed of the art sale will be donated to a UAE based charity organisation to honour this year’s initiative.
This event is an initiative of a passionate Artist & Founder of Palette Art Training & Consultancy– Ritwika Chaudhuri explains why she conceived of her maiden curation with a theme Share and Care, “ As a proud resident of UAE I salute the ruler’s vision and Government’s initiative to declare 2017 as the year of giving. A certain percentage of the art sale will be donated to a registered charity organisation of UAE and hence the name Share and care. This is a humble way on behalf of the Palette Art to be a part of this benevolent initiative of the government.”
The artwork of share and care exhibition reflects the diverse style of the participating artists, their skill and expertise in their respective fields and their passion for this field. Sanja Jankovic’s ‘Together we run’ painted with pure grape pigment, Subhasish Chakravarty’s ‘light of hope’ , acrylic on canvas, Mona Biswarupa Mohanty’s ‘soulmate’ with Ink on paper, Nida Waqas’s ‘Will of god’, Gwyenth Rasquinha’s ‘Serenity’, Jesno Jackson’s ‘horsecare delight are worth mentioning.
The other excellent works to be worth special mention are Murugesh Thaigarajan’s ‘ ‘Immense love’. Rashida Golwala’s ‘compassion’, Shazzia Jaffery’s ‘the return’, Athiya Najreen’s ‘ Misty morning’. Srikant’s saraogi’s ‘oil lantern’, Varsha Sureka’s ‘ Equality’, Shiba khan’s “ playing’, Massaratfatima Sulaimani’s ‘ A leap beyond lines’, Yoshita Ahmed’s ‘Aghori’, Minika Swetta’s Goldren radian, Nathalie Kachouh’s ‘timeless blossom’ and Afshan’s Quraishi’s ‘ Sunshine’ .
Anju Kriti Mehta’s love and care series with duplex papers and Origatta flowers and Athiya Nazreen’s Banana Bonsai and Paph Parishii made of Thai clay are crafts class apart.
