Champions crowned at the finals of KidZania® Dubai’s 2nd edition of Brainiac
Following a three-week long battle of the brains, the thrilling Brainiac competition came to a close on Friday, with KidZania® Dubai’s Brainiac champions being crowned in a final showdown held at Dubai Ice Rink! Al Shorouq Private School took home the trophy in the Arabic competition, and Amled School in the English, after eight schools competed in the nail-biting semi-final rounds.
Students from almost 50 English and Arabic schools competed in the challenge, which is designed to exercise Dubai’s young minds through quizzes, visual thinking and team-building challenges, in a fun and exciting competition.
The winning school was awarded with a masterpiece trophy and the victorious students were each given special prizes. Each of the more than 900 competing students in grades 3 to 6 also received certificates to acknowledge their participation, as well as a special goodie bag.
Brainiac is designed to help discover Dubai’s Zmartest students, who are not only hardworking and competitive, but also proactive and dynamic in their pursuit of varied interests. The competition serves as a stepping stone for them to showcase their skills through quizzes that introduce creative and inventive thinking as well as promote team work.
Hosted by KidZania® Dubai – the dedicated children’s city in The Dubai Mall – the second edition of the increasingly successful Brainiac competition seeks to build on KidZania’s ‘edutaining’ experiences for young minds through active roleplay, giving children the opportunity to express themselves freely by providing experiences which cultivate learning and development, whilst fostering fun and creativity.
The event was supported by Emaar Gift Card, Tawteen, Toys R Us, Xbox, E-junior, Pinar, Ulker, Smart Baby and Patchi. For more on KidZania® Dubai, visit the website www.kidzania.ae or call 04 448 5222.
