eXTREMELAND CS:GO 2018 gets its Middle East qualifiers

Middle East & Africa, 17th September 2018: Packed with competitive spirit, eXTREMESLAND CS:GO 2018, Asia’s much awaited event, has drawn to a thrilling end in the Middle East. And finally, the Middle East champions Team Nasr eSports are all set to showcase their talent in Shanghai, battling against global teams.

Top team like team Nasr eSports, Shot Caller, Fear the Reaper and Peaky Arabs from UAE, TOP5 from Kuwait, Fate from Jordan, Portal eSports from Pakistan and RUSH Middle East from Lebanon competed to win the coveted title. The teams battled for the title on 14/15 September 2018 in Dubai. Eventually, team Team Nasr eSports came victorious, who will now represent Middle East in Shanghai.

The league score update:

The semi-final round 1 match between the two teams took place on Train where NASR destroyed Shotcallers, beating them with a score of ’16-2′. The second match was won by Shotcallers on Dust 2, as they beat NASR with a respectable score of ’16-9′. The decider was played on Overpass where NASR triumphed over Shotcallers winning the match ’16-8′. Taking the series ‘2-1’ NASR Esports qualified for the Grand Finals, as a great run by Shotcallers came to end.

At the semi-final round 2, the two teams clashed on Inferno in their first match. A really close game witnessed Fate edge past TOP5 to win the match with a score of ’16-13′. The second match was played on Mirage which saw another great performance from Fate as they won the match ’16-10′. With this, TOP5’s rather impressive run through the tournament was cut short while Fate moved on to face NASR in the grand finals.

Grand Finale battle – Team Fate vs NASR Esports

The first match witnessed the two teams fighting it out on Dust 2. NASR Esports cruised along without too many problems until they reached map point after which they found it difficult to close out the game as Fate started to rack up the rounds. But eventually, their momentum gave way to NASR in the 26th round who won the game ’16-10′.

The second match was played on Overpass where NASR stepped up their game taking down Fate without much of a hassle and won the match with a score of ’16-7′.

For the third consecutive year, BenQ ZOWIE has brought together the gamers in the region to showcase their talent. The eSports monitor brand has been a strong voice in the development of the industry. It has given a huge boost to the developing segment in the region. In the last three years, the tournament has become a platform for the Middle East to compete on a global level, giving the gamers an exposure and competition.

The 2018 edition saw an increased participation from the Middle East with Pakistan and Jordan addition to the list of regions. At the end, it was Team Fate from Jordan and Team Nasr eSports from UAE that battled for the ME qualifier title. With this, the Middle East qualifiers came to an end in the region of what has been a rollercoaster ride of headshots and some of the best eSports action.
