Dubai, UAE: His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, toured the exhibitions halls of Intersec 2019 today (20th January), impressed by what he saw at the world’s leading trade fair for security, safety, and fire protection.
His Highness, Intersec’s Patron, stopped by a number of key stands, including those of supporting partners the Dubai Police and the Dubai Civil Defence. Following the VIP tour, he said: “The continued development of Intersec into a globally significant trade platform for safety, security and protection, reflects the growth of the UAE as a forward-thinking nation and our determination to make it a safer, more secure and smarter society.
“The event provides an important interaction platform along with important business opportunities for leading global players and makes valuable contributions to the wellbeing of our society.”
Intersec 2019, which runs until 22nd January at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, features 1,212 exhibitors from 54 countries, all aiming to grow their presence in a US$14.5 billion Middle East market for physical and perimeter security, commercial and information security, fire protection, and drones.
The 21st edition in 2019 also coincided with the launch of the three-day Intersec Future Security Summit, where Future Foresight on Security, Artificial Intelligence, along with the Internet of Things (IoT) and Intelligent Systems were among the central themes on the first day.
