Rove Hotels & World Art Dubai 2019 collaborate for Emerging Artists Competition and Exhibition

Rove is offering budding artists, specifically GCC residents, the chance to showcase their original art pieces under the theme – ‘My Culture. My Community. My Neighbourhood.’ – as part of the Emerging Artists Exhibition at World Art Dubai 2019 and across Rove Hotels.

Dubai, UAE (20th February 2019): Rove Hotels has announced that it will partner with the region’s largest affordable retail art fair, World Art Dubai for the Emerging Artists Competition and Exhibition with the aim to continue supporting local talent. The exciting collaboration will provide promising regional artists with an amazing platform to showcase their talents and display their creative interpretations of the theme, ‘My Culture. My Community. My Neighbourhood’, at this year’s highly anticipated event, as well as at Rove Hotels.

Emerging artists currently residing in GCC countries, are invited to submit digital versions of their original paintings, digital artworks or illustrations, of maximum size A0, HERE. The top 20 pieces will be shortlisted to go through to the next round, at which time applicants are required to deliver the artworks to Rove Hotels. The 20 shortlisted pieces will subsequently be exhibited at Rove Hotels, where public voting will also begin.

Guests staying, visiting or dining at Rove will be encouraged to fill out a vote-card, which will be available with each transaction. After voting for their favourite artist, they can drop their nomination into the ballot box next to their chosen artwork. To really sweeten the deal, voters will be given the chance to win tickets to World Art Dubai 2019, along with an overnight stay at one of Rove Hotels.

Ten artworks will be invited to move forward in the competition to be displayed at the Rove Café at World Art Dubai from April 3rd to 6th at Dubai World Trade Centre, giving all artists the invaluable opportunity to showcase their masterpieces to corporate and individual collectors. The Emerging Artists Exhibition will be judged and curated by Master of Visual Communication Petra Kaltenbach and the Rove Design Team. Winners will be declared at the event in two categories: The People’s Choice Award and The Grand Winner. The People’s Choice Awardee will win an exclusive Rove stay package inclusive of 2 night stay for 2 at any of Rove Hotels properties, Friday Bench Brunch for 5 people, Saturday Boodle Fight at Rove Trade Centre for 5 people and 5 cinema tickets for a movie of your choice at Reel Boutique in Rove Downtown while the Grand Winner will be given a space to exhibit and sell his/her works at World Art Dubai 2020.
