Serving to facilitate truly meaningful connections and communities, the maze will lead to a storytelling installation, which gives them the opportunity to express themselves and be a part of a collective story, bringing to life the theme of WASLA this year: ‘I am a connection’.

The selection of food offerings at WASLA will be as diverse and unmissable as the exhilarating line-up of shows, full of unique twists on traditional Middle Eastern cuisine and international options. A curated selection of homegrown and regional flavours will be available, including a food truck from Rove Hotels that will serve fusion food including Mediterranean hot dogs and chicken tikka tacos.Food stalls from Vida, Booza Frosties, Ka’ak al Manara, and 12 Carts will also beserving up delectable street-food favourites such as gourmet burgers, Ka’ak and Lebanese ice cream, which will be perfectly complemented by shisha and a variety of refreshing beverages.

The activities on offer will also ensure festival-goers can spend the entire day with friends and family, learning new crafts or taking part in fantastic workshops. Drum circles will bring the authentic drums of Arabia to the forefront and allow everyone to enjoy a unique, adrenaline-pumping experience, while face-painting, traditional café games such as ‘tawla’ and ‘conkan’, and henna painting will keep the excited crowds engrossed.

There is also an amazing array of workshops at WASLA, featuring artistic planting, palm weaving, candle silhouette painting, and My Hamza Hand, brought to you by Al Serkal, that brings Arabic arts and crafts into the spotlight. Customary Tannoura, Dabke (Arabic forms of dance) and Hula dancers will keep viewers entranced as they await the highly anticipated performances of their favourite acts.
