ZULEKHA HOSPITAL HOSTS IFTAR FOR CHILDREN OF DETERMINATION

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 26 May 2019 –Zulekha Hospital hosted an Iftarfor children of determination along with their families and mentors at Le Meridien Hotel Dubai and Conference Centre. Zulekha Hospital also welcomedHis Excellency Nasser Ismael, Under Secretary of Ministry of Community Development and Mr. Sultan Al Shehhi, Prime Therapeutic Services Departmentas guests of honour.

The purpose of the initiative is to value children of determination and to show appreciation for the courage, love and commitment of their families who are “True Heroes” in their own right.The hospital worked closely with schools including Special Needs Foundation, Al Noor Training Center, Child Early Intervention Medical Center and ManzilCenter to identify and honour these individuals.

The event hosted 40 Children of Determination along with their mentors and families, and honoured one “True Hero” from each family. Ten mentors from schools were also honoured for their commitment to these children’s lives. Zulekha Hospital announced priority services including discounted consultations and services to the Children of Determination on this occasion.

The UAE is making major efforts to empower people of determination and authorities stress on the role of community members to achieve a sought-after inclusive society. Dubai Municipality’s vision is “developing a happy and sustainable city” and to enhance the communities’ responsibility to provide the highest levels of care for people of determination. The Dubai government has made strides in updating, developing and facilitating services and projects for this communityin accordance with the best international standards and experiences so that Dubai is a truly inclusive environment.

Co-Chairperson of ZulekhaHealthcare Group,Ms. Zanubia Shams is committed to community service and going the extra mile for all sectors of society.
