Abu Dhabi, UAE, July 06, 2019: Aldar Academies, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain’s leading private education provider, is celebrating a fourth year of rising International Baccalaureate Diploma results at Al Bateen Academy as students surpassed the qualification’s global average results and the school’s 2018 diploma scores.
Al Bateen Academy reported an average point score of 32.4–exceeding the global figure of 29.7, and a 92 percent pass rate, which is well beyond the 79 percent global average. The 2019 results also see a rise over the school’s 2018 average point score of 32.2 and pass rate of 90 percent.This year also marked a fourth consecutive year where students have recorded a point score of 32 or above.
Filipino Keith Gironella recorded the school’s highest point score of 41, followed closely by Italy’s Antonio De Leo with 40 points. Hamad Al Qubaisi and Alya Al Breiki toppedthe school’s Emirati cohort, celebrating scores of 37 and 36 respectively.
“I feel so, so happy. Now I’m going on to study Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at Claremont McKenna in California,” commented Hamad. “I must thank all my teachers at Al Bateen Academy who have been so supportive throughout my time here.”
Alya Al Breiki added: “I am speechless! I was predicted 32 and achieved 36 points, thanks to a lot of hard work andthe guidance of my teachers at Al Bateen Academy. I can’t wait for my next chapter and to start studying Media and Communications at the University of Surrey inthe UK.”
