UAE, Dubai, 2September 2019:Dubai Sports City hasalready announced its respective academy programmes for September, so parents can start planning their child’s activities leading up to Christmas. The various programmes on offer with Dubai Sports Citywill allow young people the opportunity to experience some of the best sporting academies in the region.
The academies are a great way to keep young sports fans entertained during term-time and Spanish Soccer Schools, Claude Harmon III Performance Golf Academy and the ICC Academy (Cricket) are all holding open-days for parents to visit, ahead of signing-up their children for the new term.
With all programmes designed for those aged 3-18, each academy helps to build the foundations of skill development in each child, focusing not just on athleticism, but also on confidence development.

Spanish Soccer Schools will host a complementary Open Day on 7th September, between 10:30am-1:30pm, before kicking-off the new season on 8th September. There are a range of tailored programmes on offer for all age groups, from one session per week to three sessions per week. Kids who sign-up will have access to world-class facilities with FIFA approved facilities including full size pitches both indoor and outdoor, top coaching staff (including ex-international players), and opportunities to interact with international teams via tournaments or player visits to the academy. Free indoor football fun days are running at the Football Academy all this week to enable kids to experience the facilities and meet the coaches, with U6 and U8 taking place on Monday 2nd September between 4:30pm-6:30pm. Spanish Soccer Schools will also be bringing their expertise to both The International School of Choueifat — Dubai and Delhi Private School’s pitches, where children from the school and the local community are invited to join in and play after school hours.
ICC Academy has a complementary Open Day between 8:30am-3pm on 7th September, offering the chance for kids to meet the coaches and see the facilities consisting of 2 outdoor ovals and indoor nets. The Term officially starts on 10th September and finishes on 7th May 2020. There are tailored programmes for all abilities and age groups from 3+ for bothfor boys and girls, including group and one to one coaching. Matches are played at the international venues – ICCA and Dubai International Stadium and kids training with ICC Academy have ball boy and meet and greet opportunities at international matches throughout the season.
The Claude Harmon Performance Golf Academy is also hosting two complementary Open Day’s on 7th September and 14th September, between 4pm-6pm at its state of the art facilities at The Els Club. Term officially starts on 29th September and runs until 30th May 2020.The Junior Development Programme is open to kids and teenagers aged 3 to 15 years old and provides a growth plan that suitsevery skill level and aims to maximise progression of each player.Lessons are broken down into four categories:
- Active Start
- Course Ready
- Tournament Ready
Children who sign-up with Dubai Sports City Academies will have the chance to learn from trainers of sporting champions, giving those participating the opportunity to immerse themselves in a variety of popular sports under the guidance of qualified and expert coaches from each respective discipline in purpose built sports facilities.
