Abu Dhabi, 11 September 2019: Lausanne is a haven of culture, entertainment, aesthetic, and arts that both locals and tourists can revel in. The beautiful city introduces a new Platform 10 arts district granting free access to selected exhibitions.
With an all-inclusive and welcoming environment, the arts district binds the Cantonal Fine Arts Museum, the Elysée Museum and the Museum of Design and Contemporary Arts together. The platform 10 project will be holding three museums such as the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts that will set in motion on October 2019, Musée de l’Elysée that is a canton’s photography museum and the Museum of Contemporary Design and Applied Arts which will be both inaugurated by 2021. The new city district will not only be home to the three museums but also to the Toms Pauli and Félix Vallotton Foundations, which will open its doors in October 2019.
Located 5-minutes away from Lausanne train station, the new arts district will be more than just museums but also a living space for visitors to gather, eat, relax and enjoy services such as bookshop/boutique, the library/documentation centre, finest dining spaces and auditoriums.
