CONSERVATORIUM HOTEL INTRODUCES NEW TULIP-PLANTING INTIATIVE BRINGING AWARENESS TOTHE ART OF TULIP CULTIVATION

Amsterdam, September 2019 – Conservatorium Hotel has created the ‘Tulip Planting Package,’ an immersive experience offering guests the perfect opportunity to discover the Netherlands’ iconic Bulb Region, whilst simultaneously giving something back to the local community.

The Bulb Region has long been a popular tourist destination due to the vastmulti-coloured flower fieldsthat cover the entire area during the spring season. Commonly referred to as ‘Tulip Season’, thearea showcases millions of tulips of over 800 varieties, spread across 32 hectares, andis one of The Netherlands’ most visited attractions. Due to the short-lived seasonal nature of the attraction, mass tourism has led to some damage to the fields, which is whyConservatorium Hotel has decided tostep up. Through the hotel’s new ‘Tulip Planting’ offer, guests will have the opportunity to visit the bulb-field area and learn about its historywhile helping farmers plant new tulips for the forthcoming season. The package also includes avisit to the acclaimed Royal Flora Holland – the world’s largest flower auction, a two-night stay at Conservatorium Hotel including breakfast, and a digital image of the tulips in bloom.

The ‘Tulip Planting’ Package includes:

  • Two-night stay at the Conservatorium Hotel including breakfast
  • Transportation to the bulb-field area
  • Visit to the ‘ZwarteTulp Museum’ to learn about the history & development of tulip cultivation
  • Half-day on the field planting tulips for the coming season
  • Visit to the famous ‘Royal Flora Holland’ flower auction
  • Digital picture of the tulips in bloom during tulip season

The “Tulip Experience” package is available from €1385 per night, including VAT, and excluding 7% city tax, subject to availability. It is bookable from 16 September 2019 through 22 November 2019 and valid for stays from 30 September 2019 through 6 December 2019.
