Latest innovative technologies, novel techniques and research in Aesthetic Dentistry highlighted
Abu Dhabi – United Arab Emirates, 25 October, 2019: The 2nd International Aesthetic Dental Conference – IADC, a dedicated annual event for dentistry professionals, specialists and experts,officially opened today at the Beach Rotana Hotel in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE. Running under the theme ‘Secrets in Excellence’, until the 26th of October, 2019, the 2-day premier dental conference, aims to put the spotlight on many critical topics in aesthetic dentistry discussing new approaches to routine dental procedures and exploring theimpact of new digital technologies, novel techniques and vital research findings on this highly specialized field of dentistry.
IADC 2019 comes at a time when technology advancements in dentistry have fundamentally transformed the profession and practice of aesthetic dentistry. Today, digital dentistry is at the forefront of technology within the dental industry and new digital dentistry trends like computer aided implant dentistry, lasers, intraoral and extraoral photography are making dentistry easier, faster and more effective for patients and doctors alike. In addition, the increasing demand for superior dentistry and efficient aesthetic outcomes is revolutionizing the world of dentistry and facilitating world class dental care practices in the UAE and the world.
Commenting on the occasion, Dr. Wael Att, Conference Chairman, Professor, Tufts University, USA, said, “Further to the outstanding success achieved in the very first edition last year in Abu Dhabi, this year, IADC aims to once again highlight the most recent advances and trends in aesthetic dentistry. He added, “Today, in commensurate with the latest advances in medical technologies particularly in the field of aesthetic dentistry, the rise in awareness about new treatment options in dentistry is driving clinical practitioners to innovate and enable superior dental care for patients. In my presentation ‘Disruptive Technologies in Dentofacial Rehabilitation’, I spoke about the concept of ‘virtual patients’ which is truly an engaging and interactive method allowing us to manipulate the teeth position and the smile of a patient virtually while at the same time enabling us to seamlessly shift from the virtual world to real life treatment in a safe and effective manner.”
On her part Dr. Mais Aswad, Dental Business Unit Manager, Application Trainer, Dubai, said, “The agenda for IADC 2019 is very rich and the Conference will highlight all the updates and developments of the new dental trends such as the‘Digital workflow’ which is focused on the application of latest techniques in aesthetic dentistry. My lecture discussed the ‘Full Digital Workflow in dentistry and how it minimizes errors emerging from traditional techniques’, where I highlighted the benefits and limitations of pitfalls seen in everyday dental treatments.”
She added, “The 3D Technology is surely a great leap ahead for many dental specialties, as it enables dentistry practitioners with virtual analysis, adding the advantages for a better treatment and prognosis with less failure risks. I believe Digital Dentistry has certainlyimproved the Aesthetics of surgical treatments and the time has come to facilitate the propereducation and training of dentistry personnel to implement this technology for clinical purposes.”
