Two young winners of the fifthannual Toyota Dream Car Art Contestrepresent UAE in Japan

Dubai, UAE, October 29, 2019:Prarthik Krishnan Menon, 15 years and Aarya Abhishek Pawar,6 years, UAE finalists from Toyota’s Dream Car Art Contest (DCAC)visited Japan along with their families to receive their awards for the best finalist’s category. Their artworks were also shortlisted to the international stage of the competition.

The pair, who clinched the local wins for the 12 to 15-year-old and under 7 years old categories respectively, attended the global DCAC awards ceremony in Japan, during an eventthat hosted winners from across 86 countries.

Prarthik impressed the judges with his Toyota Life-saving Car, which saves lives through voluntary organ donation.Prarthik’s dream car represented in the artwork also supports medical care activities to save human lives.

Aarya, meanwhile, created the Toyota Medi Scan Van, which secured her the top spot in her category. The Medi Scan Van tells us how much food and water is required every day for our body, therefore, identifyingwhich type of food and how much of it needs to be purchased from the supermarket. This addresses one of the biggest crises of our time – food and water wastage, resulting in more supplies for the underprivileged.

Running for the 13th time internationally and 5th year in the UAE, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is one of the biggest of its kind attracting over 950,000 entries this year. The format of the competition is designed to enable children to let their youthful creativity run free by challenging them to dream up a car that would help solve the world’s problems.

Select artwork from the contest will also be displayed at Toyota facilities across the UAE, to help showcase the talent of the UAE’s up and coming generation of artists to a wider audience.
