Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, 18 November 2019: Rixos Bab Al Bahr announces the expansion of its F&B team with two new appointments in key leadership roles. With significant developments planned for the next year, the ultra-all-inclusive beachfront resort is proud to welcome Ömer Canbay as Executive Chef and Ahmet Okur as Director of Food & Beverage.
Canbay brings two decades of experience with him to the role, with his most recent posting being at the Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort & Spa in Turkey as Executive Chef. The Turkish national’s resume also includes positions at Latanya Beach Resort Hotel, Queen Elizabeth Suite Hotel & Spa, Crystal Hotel Deluxe Resort & Spa, and Rixos Hotel Beldibi. In his new role, Canbay
will oversee the kitchens and food and beverage offerings across the resort’s 14 F&B outlets, where he plans to employ his passion and innovations for everything from menu enhancements to kitchen operations, and catering events together with his kitchen brigade.
Turkish national Ahmet Okur has joined Rixos Bab Al Bahr as the Director of Food & Beverage from Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort & Spa. With over 20 years experience in the industry, he has held various leadership positions with a string of hotels brands such as Crowne Plaza, Sheraton and Vogue Hotels – moving ranks from F&B Supervisor, to F&B Manager and Assistant General Manager. In his new role, Okur will be responsible for the overall dining experience of guests, overseeing the 24 hours and unlimited food & beverages services that are part of the ultra all-inclusive offerings at Rixos Bab Al Bahr.
