Rosewood Abu Dhabi’s Sambusek restaurant welcomes back the winter season at its popular terrace by introducing mouthwatering new dishes to enjoy in an elegant and relaxed atmosphere overlooking the Arabian waters.
A number of new dishes have been added to the a la carte menu, such as ‘kubbeh nayyeh’, the chef’s signature slow-cooked stuffed pumpkin with lamb and rice, and a lovely ‘fin to fin’ experience with a whole grilled fish. In addition to these delicious culinary experiences, Sambusek now turns back time by bringing back the classics in Levantine cuisine every Saturday afternoon.
Featuring food from the heart as it was prepared historically, Nostalgic Saturdays brings a wide selection of dishes including homemade vine leaves, freshly prepared fattoush salad, and a selection of mezzeh including makanek and chicken liver in pomegranate sauce. The journey through the most traditional Lebanese recipes can be enjoyed every Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for AED 280.
Breakfast enthusiasts should not miss out on the Levantine breakfast at Sambusek; To start the day with some heartwarming traditional Lebanese comfort food, the newly introduced set menu includes shakshouka, foul moudames and a selection of jams amongst other favorites. Guests also have the option to include cheese or zaatar manakeesh, balila and haloumi cheese to their breakfast. With hours now extended from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., this extraordinary breakfast is available every Thursday to Saturday for AED 70.
Another addition to Sambusek is that the Business Lunch Menu can also be served family style for a table of five or more people. Priced at AED 140, the business lunch is served from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday.
For a taste of the finest signature dishes, guests can opt for ‘Chef Emad’s Favorites’ set menu for AED 280. Curated by Sambusek head chef Emad Zalloum, this menu takes patrons through Lebanese favorites, inclusive of hot and cold varieties of traditional mezze, a main course of mixed grills or arayes, and a dessert plate of mixed baklava, ashta with honey or fresh fruits.
For those wishing to catch a later spread, ‘Smokin Mezzeh’ is served on weekdays between 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.. This late lunch experience experience includes a wide selection of hot and cold mezze, the signature mixed grill for the main course and a platter of seasonal fruits for dessert. Priced at AED 180, the ‘Smokin Mezzeh’ package comprises a signature shisha as well.
