The St. Regis Abu Dhabi, has recently announced the appointment of Maria Tsiomou as the Director of Marketing in the best address of the capital city. Maria is a passionate marketer, professional and true brand ambassador bringing with her an extensive knowledge around luxury brands, hospitality, operations and guest experience. Holding an experience of more than 16 years in the hospitality industry with Marriott International and Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Maria has dedicated the majority of her time in working and understanding Luxury Brands and Trends respectively. Extending her knowledge in both hotel and corporate level, Maria has managed a number of key launches and partnerships for Luxury Collection and St. Regis Hotels.  

Most recently Maria has overlooked the successful opening of the first St. Regis Hotel in the Kingdom of Jordan, The St. Regis Amman, engaging the local market and supporting its awareness. In addition she was part of the recently launched Vogue Arabia and The St. Regis Amman video presenting the famous actress and producer Saba Moubarak. During her time at the Kingdom of Jordan, she has also managed the opening marketing activities of Al Manara Hotel, driving the strategy to position the hotel in the Golden triangle destination of Aqaba – Petra – Wadi Rum.

During her experience in the corporate office as the Brand Specialist for Sheraton, Westin and Special Select Brands in EAME, as well as being the Brand Manager of Luxury Collection Hotels and The St. Regis Hotels, she has rolled out the 3 new brand identities and formed an instrumental role in executing the global brand plans from global to regional and hotel level. One of her achievement was to support the global partnership of The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts with Beautiful Destinations in EAME for 18 hotels, in 7 different destinations, increasing the property followers by 233%.

Starting her career in Greece at the flagship Hotel Grande Bretagne, Athens she held the position of Front Desk Agent and later on of a Marketing Coordinator, to then jump into the opening of the Costa Navarino Complex for The Romanos Hotel and The Westin Costa Navarino as a Marketing Manager.

Having worked in different countries in Europe, Levant and now in Middle East, Maria proudly counts 4 successful openings in the Luxury tier of Marriott International.

In her new role Maria will oversee the brand, marketing and communication strategy of The St. Regis Abu Dhabi supporting the positioning of the hotel to be the connoisseur of rare and boutique experiences. She will work closely with Abu Dhabi Department of Culture & Tourism’s (DCT), further exploring opportunities to support the destination. One of her main responsibilities will also be to identify and work with key partners to further enhance the positioning of The St. Regis Abu Dhabi.
