TheCosmetify Index reported that Google searches for FOREO increased by a staggering 118% in 2019, making it one of only three brands out of 200, to deliver an increase of over 100% in just 12 months, while global sensations such as Kylie Skin delivered a decrease of -26.60% in search volume.
The global research ranked FOREO, Kylie Skin, Huda Beauty and Mac in the top 10 most popular beauty brands based on a weighting system including search trend data, social followings and engagement to reveal the show stopping brands that the world just can’t get enough of this year.
FOREO delivered an overall score of over 25, sitting only points away from the likes of Jeffree Star (29.65), RUDE Cosmetics (28.67) and long-standing brand Maybelline (27.11). Arguably the world’s most influential make-up blogger-turned entrepreneur Huda Beauty took out the number one spot with an overall score of 53.95.
FOREO’s Product Development Manager, Dalia Fernandez said; “FOREO being officially recognized as the 10thmost searched for beauty brand on the planet this year is a huge accolade for FOREO and even more impressive for us when we see we are up there next to the likes of Huda Beauty, Kylie Skin and Jeffree Star – arguably the most influential stars in the industry right now. We’ve become very used to being identified as the ‘Apple of the beauty world’ thanks to our technological advances and pioneering skintech innovations but this is very interesting to note that within this top 10 most popular beauty brands – nine are cosmetics companies, implying that skintech is officially in and consumers are searching for skintech solutions as much as they are for their everyday beauty and cosmetics must-haves,” adds Fernandez.
FOREO surpassed household names including Clinique, Estee Lauder and L’Oreal to get a spot in the top 10, whilst coming in just 4 places behind Kylie Cosmetics – one of the world’s fastest-growing brands and brainchild of mega-influencer Kylie Jenner. FOREO also beat America’s most popular beauty brand Glossier, which ranked at number 13.
