Through this activity of donating school kits, Skechers wanted to help out families facing financial hardship especially due to the ongoing pandemic. This year, we are happy to share that we provided over 7,000 children and teens in UAE with backpacks kits worth AED 1.2 Million. For this initiative, we partnered with NGOs such as Mohamed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum Foundation, International Humanitarian & Charity Organization in association with Ajman Chamber of Commerce, Emirates Red Crescent in Dubai, Sharjah & Abu Dhabi, Dubai Foundation for Women & Children, Rawafed Development and Learning Centre in Sharjah in association with Big Heart Foundation & Tarahum Charity Foundation. Skechers also provided school kits to institutes catering to People of Determination such as Senses Dubai, Al Noor Rehabilitation & Welfare Association for People of Determination, Manzil Center, Special Needs Future Development Center. Skechers also partnered with NGOs working with cancer survivors such as Rahma Charity, Friends of Cancer patients, & Al Jalila Foundation.
The school kits includes school bags, lunch bags, pencil cases & water bottles.

For his part, Dr. Khaled Abdelwahab Al Khaja, Executive Director of the IHCO, thanked the Ajman Chamber CSR and Skechers for implementing the initiative, which is in line with the plans and projects of the IHCO that aim at providing appropriate educational tools for school students. He also stressed the role of the initiative in drawing smile on the faces of students and ease the burden on families.

Through this initiative we aim to provide the school kits to as many needy students as possible. The school kit package included a backpack, lunchbox & pencil case. Children and teens loved their new school supplies and backpacks that arrived just in time for the start of school!
