Every year, the people of the UAE come together to celebrate the UAE’s Flag day on November 3rd to remember the efforts of the Father of the UAE, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in uniting this country together, and to reflect on the achievements of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
This year, Serco Middle East commemorated the day by raising the UAE flag and observing the UAE National anthem, in the attendance of Serco’s Managing Director of Transport UAE Rail Wallace Weatherill and members of his team, in line with the precautionary social distancing measures of the UAE government.
Commenting on this occasion, Phil Malem, CEO of Public Services Company Serco Middle East, said “On this day, we would like to express how proud we are to operate and serve this great nation, the UAE. We are also incredibly proud to have over 230 Emirati employees, working across a range of departments and roles at Serco, from air traffic controllers to senior managers and consultants. As a company, nationalisation is at the core of our strategy in the UAE, ensuring we are nurturing the local talent and enhancing their professional development by providing them with best set of skill to prepare them for a bright future across different sectors.”
