“The question isn’t who’s going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me.” – Ayn Rand
Celebrating women around the world, Latin American-style Hotel Cartagena will mark International Women’s Day from 8th –14th March this year with a week-long celebration inspired by this years IWD 2021 campaign theme: #ChooseToChallenge and scattered with some touches of the bold and undying spirit of the mighty Mexican feminist and artist Frida Kahlo.
Kicking off with a weeklong ladies-only discount from 8th-14th March, each fabulous female diner will receive 20% off mains and a complimentary Mexican hot chocolate cheesecake with hazelnut cinnamon brittle, chocolate dulce and spiced cinnamon ancho crust designed in tribute to ultimate female icon, Frida Khalo. Hotel Cartagena will also take part in the official International Women’s Day #ChooseToChallenge social media campaign. Running for the entire week on Instagram, encouraging Dubai ladies and men to post in support of the campaign all they need to do is simply strike the official “let’s all choose to challenge” pose, snap away and post tagging @hotelcartagenadxb with the #ChooseToChallenge hash tag to receive a complimentary welcome drink on their next visit.
Marking International Women’s Day across the month, Mrs B. and her Hotel Cartagena lovelies will also throw a series of private round table style table dining experiences with inspiring female leaders from across the region. Providing a platform to celebrate achievements, discuss call to action topics and exchange conversation and tips on how to reach the top and stay there.
Masterminded by the Hotel Cartagena’s infamous Mrs B who knows a thing or two about being a strong woman, this empowering series of events will take place atop the JW Marriott Marquis with 360-degree views of the city and the dazzling Burj Khalifa. Ladies will step into an exuberant urban jungle complete with oversized birdcages, towering tropical plants, hanging lanterns and decorative trinkets left behind by esteemed hotel guests.
Celebrated around the world on March 8th annually, International Women’s Day celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
