Eros Group wins 4-star Taqdeer Award
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, Eros Group was honoured a 4-star award in the fourth edition of the Taqdeer Award along with 77 workers and companies. The award recognises excellence in labour welfare practices and was attended by government department heads, senior officials, representatives of regional and international organisations, professionals from both public and private sectors, members of the diplomatic corps and the media.
Deepak Babani, Executive Vice Chairman of Eros Group said, “The Group’s first attempt was in 2018 where we secured a 3-star during the 3rd cycle of Taqdeer Awards. Now in the 4th cycle we are proud to secure a 4-star upon showing improvements in our policies, processes and initiatives for blue-collared employees, especially during the onset of Covid-19. Eros Group is committed to protect its employees at all times and our objective is to continue to keep the blue-collar employee’s headcount in line with the business recovery plans and strategies.”

The Group manages five accommodations for around 380 blue-collar employees in the UAE with high quality standards of hygiene, recreational and entertainment facilities. The fourth edition of the Taqdeer Award, part of the Dubai Government Excellence Programme, has been able to achieve significant progress in promoting better relationships between the companies and workers. They also launched a wider campaign to raise awareness about precautionary measures to ensure the safety of workers at their workplaces.
The key achievements of the fourth edition of the Award include:
- 55, 000 workers in Dubai will get Excellence privilege cards to enjoy between 25 to 50 per cent discounts on retail and restaurants near their camps.
- 35 government incentives provided by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Dubai Municipality, and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai (GDRFA-Dubai)
- Distribution of millions of protective masks, gloves and meals to workers by the Permanent Committee of Labour Affairs (PCLA) in Dubai in coordination with the relevant authorities.
- Organisation of field awareness campaigns in different languages and several virtual awareness campaigns to educate employees of companies and millions of workers in Dubai and the UAE about COVID-19 precautionary measures in their accommodation and workplaces.

الإمارات العربية المتحدة، 2 يونيو 2021: تحت رعاية سمو الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، ولي عهد دبي ورئيس المجلس التنفيذي لإمارة دبي، حصلت مجموعة إيروس على تصنيف 4 نجوم في الدورة الرابعة من جائزة ” تقدير” من ضمن 77 عاملاً وشركة، تقديراً للتميّز في ممارسات رعاية العمال، وذلك ضمن فعالية حضرها رؤساء الإدارات الحكومية وكبار المسؤولين وممثلو المنظمات الإقليمية والدولية والمهنيون من القطاعين العام والخاص وأعضاء السلك الدبلوماسي ووسائل الإعلام.
في هذه المناسبة، قال ديباك باباني، نائب رئيس مجلس الإدارة التنفيذي لمجموعة إيروس: “كانت المحاولة الأولى للمجموعة في عام 2018 حيث حصلنا على تصنيف 3 نجوم خلال الدورة الثالثة من جوائز “تقدير”. والآن، في الدورة الرابعة، نحن فخورون بالحصول على تصنيف 4 نجوم عند إظهار التحسينات في سياساتنا وعملياتنا ومبادراتنا إزاء الموظفين من العمّال، وخصوصاً في بداية الجائحة. إذ تلتزم مجموعة إيروس بحماية موظّفيها والعاملين لديها في جميع الأوقات حيث أن هدفنا هو الاستمرار في الحفاظ على عدد الموظفين من العمّال ليدنا بما يتماشى مع خطط واستراتيجيات عودة الأعمال إلى استعادة نشاطها.”

تشمل الإنجازات الرئيسية للدورة الرابعة للجائزة ما يلي:
- سيحصل 55,000 عامل في دبي على بطاقات امتياز للتمتع بخصومات تتراوح بين 25 إلى 50 بالمئة في متاجر التجزئة والمطاعم القريبة من أماكن سكنهم.
- خمسة وثلاثون حافزاً حكومياً مقدّمة من هيئة الطرق والمواصلات وهيئة كهرباء ومياه دبي وبلدية دبي والإدارة العامة للإقامة وشؤون الأجانب – دبي.
- توزيع ملايين الكمّامات والقفازات والوجبات على العمّال من قبل اللجنة الدائمة لشؤون العمل (PCLA) في دبي بالتنسيق مع الجهات ذات الصلة.
- تنظيم حملات توعية ميدانية بلغات مختلفة والعديد من حملات التوعية الافتراضية لتثقيف موظفي الشركات وملايين العمال في دبي والإمارات حول الإجراءات الاحترازية الخاصة بفيروس كوفيد-19 في أماكن سكنهم وأماكن عملهم.
