Thumbay Group signs two vital MOU’s in the presence of the minister for cooperation in the field of education, research and healthcare

• Thumbay University Hospital signs MOU with Gruppo San Donato, Italy’s number one hospital group
• Gulf Medical University collaborates with Italy’s top ranking San Raffaele University for health professions education and research

24^th October 2021; Ajman, UAE: His Excellency Roberto Speranza, the Italian Minister of Health paid a special visit to Thumbay Medicity in Ajman on Saturday, 23^rd October 2021 where he was received by Dr. Thumbay Moideen, President and Founder of the Thumbay Group in his office. The momentous visit opened doors for new strategic ties and cooperation between Thumbay Group and two of Italy’s prestigious institutions namely San Raffaele University (UniSR) and Gruppo San Donato (GSD) Italy.

To promote collaboration in health professions education and research, the first MOU was signed between Gulf Medical University represented by Prof. Hossam Hamdy and San Raffaele University, Italy represented by Dr. Paolo Roteli, President of the Vita – Salute San Raffaele University. UniSr ranks in the top 2.3% among 19,788 universities in the world according to the 2021-22 edition of the ‘Global 2000 List by the Center for World University Rankings’ based on their excellent academic performance and research.

The second crucial MOU was signed between Thumbay University Hospital represented by Mr. Akbar Moideen Thumbay, Vice President Healthcare Division, Thumbay Group and Gruppo San Donato (GSD) Italy represented by Dr. Kamel Ghribi, President of GKSD Investment Holding for full cooperation in developing and strengthening the Department of Cardiac Sciences at the Thumbay University Hospital and making it a Center of Excellence in the region.

– توقيع مذكرتي تفاهم من قبل مجموعة ثومبي وبحضور معالي وزير الصحة الإيطالي روبرتو سبيرانزا.

– مستشفى ثومبي الجامعي يوقع مذكرة تفاهم مع (جروبو سان دوناتو ) .

– جامعة الخليج الطبية توقع مذكرة تفاهم مع جامعة سان رافاييل بإيطاليا.

تشرفت مدينة ثومبي الطبية بزيارة معالي روبرتو سبيرانزا ، وزير الصحة الإيطالي يوم السبت 23 أكتوبر 2021. حيث استقبل معاليه الدكتور محي الدين ثومبي الرئيس المؤسس لمجموعة ثومبي ورحب به في مكتبه.

تفتح هذه الزيارة  عدة أبواب لتعزيز العلاقة بين مجموعة ثومبي وجامعة الخليج الطبية بدولة الإمارات مع جامعة سان رافاييل و جروبو سان دوناتو بإيطاليا .

أول مذكرة تفاهم تم توقيعها بين جامعة الخليج الطبية يمثلها الأستاذ الدكتور حسام حمدي مدير جامعة الخليج الطبية وجامعة سان رافاييل بإيطاليا يمثلها الدكتور باولو روتيلي رئيس فيتا- سالوتي جامعة سان رافاييل وذلك للتعاون المشترك في مجال تعليم المهن الصحية والأبحاث  بين الجامعتين.

أما مذكرة التفاهم الثانية فتم توقيعها بين مستشفى ثومبي الجامعي يمثلها السيد أكبر محي الدين ثومبي نائب الرئيس لقطاع  الرعاية الصحية ، بمجموعة ثومبي ومجموعة جروبو سان دوناتو بإيطاليا يمثلها الدكتور كامل غريبي رئيس شركة GKSD القابضة للاستثمار بهدف التعاون الكامل في تطوير قسم علوم القلب في مستشفى ثومبي الجامعي وجعله مركزًا للتميز.

وقد أعرب معالي الوزير عن إعجابه الشديد بالبنية الأساسية والتسهيلات التى توفرها إدارة الجامعة  والمستشفى كما هنأ الدكتور  محي الدين ثومبي رئيس المجموعة  على الإنجازات الكبيرة التى حققها.

وتلعب مدينة ثومبي الطبية  ، عجمان ، دورًا رئيسيًا في النهوض بالتعليم الطبي والرعاية الصحية والأبحاث. حيث تضم جامعة الخليج الطبية – الجامعة الطبية الخاصة الرائدة في المنطقة ، ومستشفى ثومبي الجامعي – أكبر مستشفى أكاديمي خاص في المنطقة ، ومستشفى ثومبي للأسنان – أول مستشفى أسنان خاص في الدولة  وأكبر مستشفى طب أسنان أكاديمي خاص في منطقة الشرق الأوسط ، ومستشفى ثومبي للعلاج الطبيعي وإعادة التأهيل – أكبر مستشفى من نوعه في الدولة  للعلاج الطبيعي وإعادة التأهيل مجهز بأحدث التجهيزات.
