Siemens Energy, industrial block chain start-up Data Gumbo, Saudi Aramco and The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), were among the winners at the prestigious ADIPEC Awards as the energy industry honoured the ideas, initiatives and disruptors driving transformational change and positioning the industry to thrive in a net zero carbon future.
With eight categories recognising the projects, innovators and ideas at the forefront of the energy industry’s transformation, the 11th edition of the ADIPEC Awards attracted 709 entries from 54 different countries. The award winners were handpicked by an independent Jury of exceptional global energy leaders.
In addition to the companies honoured at a glittering VIP ceremony at the Emirates Palace, in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates, the ADIPEC Awards also awarded two individuals. Dr. Fatih Birol, who has served as Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA) since 2015, was presented with the 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award and Bashayer Aldakkan, who works for Saudi Aramco, was named Young Technical Professional of the Year.
Other winners at this year’s ADIPEC Awards included:
Breakthrough Research of the Year – ADNOC and Microsilicon: This award celebrates the importance of scientific research and innovation, promoting a better use of energy sources, and encouraging a new generation of researchers to achieve success in their work.
Innovation in Decarbonisation Company of the Year – Siemens Energy: This award recognises an energy company that has developed transformational solutions to reducing their footprint in terms of emissions in the environment, as well as water and land consumption.
Breakthrough Technological Project of the Year – ADNOC: This award recognises an innovative technology project, product or service that harnesses the power of an ever-expanding range of transformational new technologies.
Oil and Gas Start-up Company of the Year – Data Gumbo: This award honours an oil and gas start-up working on innovative projects with the greatest potential to reshape the industry based on innovation, business model and impact of its products and services.
Social Contribution and Local Content Project of the Year – Saudi Aramco: This award celebrates a project that has created employment, developed local skills and capacity, collaborated with local suppliers and subcontractors, and enhanced local entrepreneurship.
Digital Transformation Project of the Year – ADNOC: This award recognises a project that has radically changed processes, customer experience and value through the application of digital technologies
Young Technical Professional of the Year – Bashayer Aldakkan, Saudi Aramco: This award salutes a young technical professional who has shown the ability to become a key contributor to the future development of the industry and who has strong potential to reach senior management level
Oil and Gas Inclusion and Diversity Company of the Year – ADNOC: This award recognises a company for promoting, delivering, and embedding inclusion and diversity into their business strategy and for creating an equal, diverse, and inclusive environment for all in their organisation.
Operational Excellence Company Of the Year (Excellence in Remote Working) – Saudi Aramco: This award honours a company that has introduced innovative solutions to run operations remotely, mitigate the impact of COVID-19, and demonstrate the resilience of the energy industry as a whole.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, ADIPEC is taking take place until Thursday, November 18, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). It is hosted by ADNOC and supported by the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, the Department of Municipalities and Transport, the Abu Dhabi Chamber, the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism and the Department of Education and Knowledge.

أبوظبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة، 16 نوفمبر 2021: كانت شركة “سيمنز للطاقة” وشركة “داتا غومبو”، الشركة الناشئة في الولايات المتحدة في قطاع سلسلة الكتل (البلوك تشين)، وشركة “أرامكو” السعودية، وشركة بترول أبوظبي الوطنية (أدنوك) من بين الفائزين بجوائز أديبك المرموقة لهذا العام، حيث كرم قطاع الطاقة الأفكار المبتكرة والتميز والمبادرات النوعية التي من شأنها إحداث تغيير جذري في القطاع وترسيخ مكانته للنمو والازدهار في مستقبل خالٍ من الكربون.
واستقطبت الدورة الحادية عشرة لجوائز أديبك 709 مشاركات من 54 دولة من خلال عشر فئات من الجوائز لتكريم المشاريع والمبتكرين وأصحاب الأفكار المتميزة التي تسهم في إحداث التحول في قطاع الطاقة، حيث تم اختيار الفائزين بالجوائز من قبل لجنة تحكيم مستقلة تضم مجموعة من الخبراء والمختصين في قطاع في الطاقة العالمي.
وإضافة إلى الشركات الفائزة، تم منح جوائز أديبك أيضًا لشخصيتين متميزتين في حفل توزيع الجوائز الذي أقيم في قصر الإمارات في العاصمة الإماراتية أبوظبي بحضور عدد من كبار الشخصيات، حيث حصل الدكتور فاتح بيرول، الذي يشغل منصب المدير التنفيذي للوكالة الدولية للطاقة منذ عام 2015، على جائزة
الإنجاز مدى الحياة لعام 2021، وحصلت بشاير الدكان، التي تعمل في شركة أرامكو السعودية، على جائزة أفضل خبير تقني شاب للعام.

جائزة أفضل أبحاث رائدة في القطاع للعام – أدنوك ومايكروسيليكون: تحتفي هذه الجائزة بأهمية البحث العلمي والابتكار وتعزيز الاستخدام الأفضل لمصادر الطاقة وتشجيع جيل جديد من الباحثين لتحقيق النجاح في عملهم.
جائزة أفضل شركة في ابتكار حلول لتحييد الكربون لهذا العام – سيمنز إنرجي: تُمنح هذه الجائزة لشركة طاقة طورت حلولاً نوعية لتقليل تأثيرها من حيث الانبعاثات الكربونية في البيئة، فضلاً عن استهلاك المياه والأراضي.
جائزة أفضل مشروع تكنولوجي مبتكر للعام – أدنوك: تُمنح هذه الجائزة لمشروع تكنولوجي مبتكر أو منتج أو خدمة تسخر فيها قوة مجموعة دائمة التوسع من التقنيات الجديدة ذات التغييرات النوعية .
جائزة أفضل شركة ناشئة في مجال النفط والغاز للعام – داتا غومبو: تُمنح هذه الجائزة لشركة ناشئة في مجال النفط والغاز تعمل في مشاريع مبتكرة تتمتع بأكبر إمكانات لإعادة تشكيل الصناعة بناءً على الابتكار ونموذج الأعمال وتأثير منتجاتها وخدماتها.
جائزة أفضل مشروع للمساهمة الاجتماعية والاتصال المحلي للعام – أرامكو السعودية: تحتفي هذه الجائزة بمشروع خلق فرص عمل وتطوير المهارات والقدرات المحلية والتعاون مع الموردين والمقاولين المحليين وتعزيز ريادة الأعمال المحلية.
جائزة أفضل مشروع للتحول الرقمي للعام – أدنوك: تُمنح هذه الجائزة تقديراً للمشروع الذي غيّر بشكل جذري العمليات وتجربة العملاء والقيمة من خلال تطبيق التقنيات الرقمية.
جائزة أفضل خبير تقني شاب للعام – بشاير الدكان من شركة أرامكو السعودية: تكرم هذه الجائزة خبيراً تقنيًا شابًا أظهر قدرته على أن يصبح مساهمًا رئيسيًا في التنمية المستقبلية للصناعة ولديه إمكانات قوية للوصول إلى مستوى الإدارة العليا.
شركة العام للنفط والغاز على مستوى الشمول والتنوع – أدنوك: تُمنح هذه الجائزة تقديراً للشركة لتعزيزها وتنفيذها الدمج والتنوع ضمن استراتيجية أعمالها وخلق بيئة متكافئة ومتنوعة وشاملة للجميع في مؤسستها.
جائزة أفضل شركة للعام على مستوى التفوق التشغيلي (التميز في العمل عن بُعد) – أرامكو السعودية: تُمنح هذه الجائزة لشركة قدمت حلولًا مبتكرة لتشغيل العمليات عن بُعد، وتخفيف الآثار السلبية لجائحة كوفيد-19 وإظهار مرونة صناعة الطاقة ككل.
وفي هذه المناسبة، قالت فاطمة النعيمي، رئيس مجلس إدارة جوائز أديبك والرئيس التنفيذي لشركة أدنوك للغاز الطبيعي المسال: ” لقد تم تأسيس جوائز أديبك وتصميمها وإقامتها في أبوظبي، وتم الاعتراف بها عالميًا كمعيار للتميز في صناعة الطاقة، وقد قمنا بتكريم تلك الشركات والأفراد الذين يتركون تأثيرًا كبيراً دائمًا على صناعتنا من خلال اغتنام الفرص وقيادة التغيير التحويلي مع تبني الرقمنة والاستدامة والبحث والابتكار والشراكات والتنوع والمواهب الشابة، وذلك بالتزامن مع احتفال دولة الإمارات باليوبيل الذهبي لها والشروع في الرحلة إلى الخمسين عامًا القادمة”.
ضمت قائمة رعاة جوائز أديبك 2021، التي أقيمت في يوم افتتاح المعرض كلاً من: المؤسسة العربية للتنمية (أرديكو) وإكسون موبيل وشركة تطوير النفط اليابانية المحدودة (إنبكس / جودكو) وميتسوي وشركاه وتوتال إنرجي.
الجدير بالذكر بأنه يتم انعقاد معرض ومؤتمر أبوظبي الدولي للبترول “أديبك 2021” تحت رعاية صاحب السمو الشيخ خليفة بن زايد آل نهيان رئيس الدولة في الفترة الممتدة من 15 إلى 18 نوفمبر 2021 في مركز أبوظبي الوطني للمعارض (أدنيك)، وتستضيفه شركة بترول أبوظبي الوطنية (أدنوك) بدعم من وزارة الطاقة والبنية التحتية بدولة الإمارات، دائرة البلديات والنقل، غرفة أبوظبي ودائرة الثقافة والسياحة – أبوظبي.{:}
