{:en}Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (AETOSWire) : stc announced that communications network movement had exceeded unprecedented peak hours during the stc Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, which was hosted in Jeddah over three days. Across the event area, the internet traffic increased by more than 740% and the internet circuit’s voice by more than 800%. This was the result of the high turnout of the public attending the event and international roaming guests from abroad, who set record numbers with an increase in the number at rush hour by more than 370%. The number of visitors attending the race from Europe, the Americas, China, Korea, Japan and the Gulf states reached 67%. The network was expanded at the event area with additional capacities of more than 275% to the original setting, including special extensions for the fifth-generation networks.
