According to Dr Ofir Winter, Researcher at the Institute for National Security Studies at Tel Aviv University, postal relations were considered an important tool to build peace and enhance communication between countries from all around the world.

He said: “Postal relations are regarded as an integral part of relations between countries and nations. They helped people to communicate with each other and to deal with each other. Today, we have emails, we have WhatsApp, and we have, of course, Zoom. However, for many years, stamps promoted the message of peace by making communication easier between people around the world.”

Children were also invited to take part in the highly-anticipated ‘Postcards to Space’ initiative, launched by Emirates Post Group in partnership with Club for the Future, a private foundation established by Blue Origin, the UAE Space Agency, the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) and AzurX.

Under this initiative, participants will have a chance to have their very own special postcards that will be sent to space, stamped, and returned to them.
