Rizek Achieves Yet Another Milestone, Raises $10 Million in Series A Funding

Dubai, 24 May 2021: Rizek, one of the fastest-growing Abu Dhabi-based start-ups, and the first ‘super app’ for on-demand home services in the country, is proud to reveal that it successfully raised $10 million in a round of series A funding.

Abdallah Abu-Sheikh, CEO and co-founder of Rizek, said: “There are many service-based economies in the region, but what we’ve done differently is ensure our processes are optimised and consistently up to date. For Rizek, the success of its funding is a testament to the team’s ambition, drive, and vision for the future in the region and beyond. In June 2020, the company raised $3.5 million in a seed round from Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), e-tech investments, Rozana Investments, and a number of other stakeholders, becoming one of the largest-ever seed rounds raised by a regional start-up, thereby solidifying the trust of investors with its growth trajectory.

كشفت رزق، إحدى الشركات الناشئة الأسرع نمواً في أبوظبي، وأول “تطبيق خارق” للخدمات المنزلية عند الطلب في الدولة، عن نجاحها في جمع 10 ملايين دولار في جولة تمويل سلسلة (أ).

وقال عبدالله أبو شيخ، الرئيس التنفيذي والشريك المؤسس للشركة: “هناك العديد من الأنشطة الاقتصادية القائمة على الخدمات في المنطقة، ولكن نهجنا مختلف، حيث ركزنا على ضمان تحسين عملياتنا والعمل على تحديثها باستمرار. ونحن نحرص على رفع مستوى الابتكار بشكل مستمر من خلال تقديم منصة شاملة تأخذ في الحسبان توفير المزيد من الخيارات بين أيدي العملاء. وتتمثل مهمتنا في أن نكون المتجر الشامل لجميع الخدمات على مستوى المنطقة، لإتاحة المجال أمام الموردين والمستهلكين لجني المزيد من الفوائد”.

ويعتبر نجاح رزق في جمع هذا التمويل شهادة على طموح فريقها وقيادتها ورؤيتها المستقبلية في داخل المنطقة وخارجها.  وقد جمعت الشركة في شهر يونيو من العام 2020 مبلغاً قدره 3.5 مليون دولار في جولة أولية من مكتب أبوظبي للاستثمار و “استثمارات التكنولوجيا الإلكترونية” و “روزانا للاستثمار”، إلى جانب عدد من الأطراف المهتمة الأخرى، لتصبح واحدة من أكبر الجولات الأولية التي جمعتها شركة إقليمية ناشئة على الإطلاق ، ما يسهم في ترسيخ ثقة المستثمرين بمسار نموها.
