Sharjah Sustainable City Honoured with Real Estate Excellence Award by Sharjah’s Real Estate Registration Department
- Awards aim to support and develop Sharjah’s real estate industry by encouraging excellence and creativity.
Sharjah Sustainable City, an eco-friendly community by Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), has received the Real Estate Excellence Award for the year 2020 from the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Directorate (SRERD).
The Real Estate Excellence Award is an initiative by the Government of Sharjah to recognise outstanding achievements in the emirate’s real estate sector. The awards aim to support and develop the industry by encouraging excellence and creativity and stimulate activity and investment in this vital sector of Sharjah’s economy.
Commenting on the award, Yousif Ahmed Al-Mutawa, Chief Executive Officer of Sharjah Sustainable City, said: “I am honoured to accept the Real Estate Excellent Award 2020 on behalf of Sharjah Sustainable City. We are proud to be recognised by the Government of Sharjah represented by the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, and His Excellency Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director General of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Directorate, for our efforts in pushing the boundaries of sustainable living from the heart of Sharjah. We remain focused on creating a community where we provide practical solutions related to food security, water and energy management, as well as natural resources conservation to serve residents and the planet for years to come.”
Developed by Sharjah Investment and Development Authority in partnership with Diamond Developers, Sharjah Sustainable City was presented with the award thanks to its commitment to meeting the highest standards of social, environmental, and economic sustainability.
Sharjah Sustainable City
A world-class mixed-use development extending over a total plot size of 7.2 million square feet of land in Sharjah’s Al Rahmaniya Area, Sharjah Sustainable City comprises modern 3, 4 and 5-bedroom townhouses and corner units with a contemporary design distinguished by innovative architecture that maximises living space.
Sharjah Sustainable City is designed with a net-zero approach to community planning. The city is 100% solar powered, recycles 100% of water and waste, cultivates vegetables and leafy greens on site, and is designed to encourage walkability and the use of clean mobility.

Using thermal insulating construction materials and windows, smart home automation, water-saving appliances, energy-saving electrical fittings and rooftop solar PVC installations, the residential properties of Sharjah Sustainable City are projected to deliver savings of up to 50% on electricity and water bills for residents.

تهدف الجائزة إلى دعم القطاع العقاري في الإمارة من خلال تكريم الإنجازات المبدعة والمتميّزة في المجال
فازت مدينة الشارقة المستدامة، أحد مشاريع هيئة الشارقة للاستثمار والتطوير (شروق)، جائزة التميّز العقاري لعام 2020 من قِبل دائرة التسجيل العقاري بالشارقة (SERD).
وهذه الجائزة هي مبادرة صادرة عن حكومة الشارقة تهدف إلى دعم القطاع العقاري من خلال تكريم الإنجازات المبدعة والمتميّزة في المجال وتحفيز النشاط والاستثمار في هذا القطاع الحيوي بالنسبة لاقتصاد الإمارة.
وبهذه المناسبة، صرّح السيّد يوسف أحمد المطوّع، المدير التنفيذي لمدينة الشارقة المستدامة، قائلاً: “نفخر في مدينة الشارقة المستدامة بالحصول على جائزة التميّز العقاري، ونقدم خالص الامتنان والتقدير لسعادة السيّد عبد العزيز أحمد الشامسي، مدير عام دائرة التسجيل العقاري بالشارقة، ولفريقه لاختيارنا لهذه الجائزة الكريمة. تعزز هذه الجائزة رؤيتنا وسعينا الدائم لإحداث تغيير لافت في القطاع العقاري من خلال اعتماد أحدث التقنيّات الصديقة للبيئة وتطبيق أفضل ممارسات الاستدامة في البناء، كما تأتي تقديراً لكافة الجهود التي نبذلها في مدينة الشارقة المستدامة لتطوير مفهوم مدن المستقبل والتخطيط المدني مع أفكار تضمن استدامة الحياة للأجيال المقبلة.”
وقد استحقّت مدينة الشارقة المستدامة التي تُعدّ ثمرة تعاون بين هيئة الشارقة للاستثمار والتطوير (شروق) وشركة “دايموند ديفلوبرز” للتطوير العقاري، هذه الجائزة المرموقة بفضل التزامها الراسخ بتلبية أعلى معايير الاستدامة الاجتماعية والبيئية والاقتصادية.
مدينة الشارقة المستدامة
مدينة الشارقة المستدامة مشروعٌ عالميّ المستوى متعدّد الاستخدامات يمتدّ على مساحة تبلغ 7.2 مليون قدم مربّع في ضاحية الرحمانية بإمارة الشارقة، ويتضمّن مساكن مؤلّفة من ثلاث، وأربع وخمس غرف نوم من طراز “وحدة جانبية” و”وحدة وسطية”، والتي تتميّز جميعها بتصميمها العصري وهندستها المبتكرة التي تركّز على الاستفادة من المساحات بأفضل شكلٍ ممكن.
وجرى تصميم مدينة الشارقة المستدامة بهدف التخفيف من البصمة الكربونية في إمارة الشارقة، حيث تعمل المدينة بالطاقة الشمسية بنسبة 100٪، وتعيد تدوير 100٪ من المياه والنفايات، إلى جانب زراعة الخضر والفاكهة، كما أنها مصممة بشكل يشجّع على ممارسة الأنشطة الرياضية مثل المشي، واستخدام التنقل النظيف.
ومن خلال المرافق الاجتماعية مثل الحدائق، وصالات اللياقة البدنية، وأحواض السباحة، والمدرسة، والمسارات المخصصة للدراجات الهوائية والركض، تهدف مدينة الشارقة المستدامة إلى تحسين جودة حياة السكان وتوفير متطلبات وتوجهات الأجيال المقبلة، فضلاً على دعم فرص الأبحاث المتخصصة في كيفية عمل المجتمعات السكنية على تقليل الانبعاثات الكربونية.
وباستخدام مواد البناء العازلة للحرارة والنوافذ، وأنظمة المنازل الذكية، والتجهيزات الكهربائية المتميزة من حيث استهلاك الطاقة، إضافة إلى الألواح الشمسية على الأسطح، من المتوقع أن توفّر الوحدات السكنية في مدينة الشارقة المستدامة ما يصل إلى 50٪ على فواتير الكهرباء والمياه للسكان.
