Hasher Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum Inaugurates the 20th edition of Dubai Derma
Over 14,500 Participants Explore the Latest Innovations Exhibited by More than 350 Exhibiting Companies Representing more than 500 International Brands
The Value of the Dermatology and Cosmetic Industry is Worth Around 20 Billion Dirhams
His Highness Sheikh Hasher Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, Director General of Dubai Department of Information officially inaugurated the 20th edition of Dubai World Dermatology and Laser Conference & Exhibition ‘Dubai Derma’, the leading event in the Middle East, Africa Market, and beyond, earlier today at the Dubai World Trade Center. The leading event is set to continue for three consecutive days, until July 8th, with the participation of top-tier doctors, specialists, experts and leading companies.
The opening ceremony began with a welcome speech delivered by Dr. Hassan Galadari, Head of Scientific Committee of Dubai Derma Conference, during which he highlighted the significance of holding ‘Dubai Derma’ physically this year in the UAE, followed by a speech from Dr. Abdul Wahab Al Fouzan, President of the Arab Academy of Dermatology & Aesthetics, during which he highlighted the support ‘Dubai Derma’ had always received from The Late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid, and recalled the support he had continuously extended towards the elevation of healthcare.
The opening ceremony was concluded with a speech from Dr. Riad Mashal Secretary General of Pan Arab League of Dermatological Societies, which highlighted the significance of this meeting and the exceptional opportunities it provides to doctors, experts and specialists to exchange information and share expertise.
Following the inauguration, His Highness Sheikh Hasher Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum toured the exhibition area and was accompanied by His Excellency Awadh Al Ketbi, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Galadari, Professor of Dermatology, Conference Chairman of Dubai Derma, Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Executive Chairman of Dubai Derma and Chairman of INDEX Holding, in addition to some of the most prominent names in the field, where he explored the latest technologies and services exhibited and showcased by the leading names in the field, who chose ‘Dubai Derma’ to showcase their brands, products and services.
Dr. Ibrahim Galadari, Professor of Dermatology, Conference Chairman of Dubai Derma said: “The Dermatology and Cosmetic surgery field is witnessing a rapid growth, and we’re seeing new technologies and products emerge faster than seen in any other field. Additionally, the value of the Dermatology and Cosmetic industry is worth 20 Billion Dirhams, which cover cosmetic products, cosmetic machines and tools, and cosmetic surgery. Now, more than ever, it is essential for professionals to have a platform that facilitates the exchange of knowledge, and helps them conjoin as a community to enhance their expertise, and allow them to better cater to patients everywhere, and this is what Dubai Derma provides.”
He added: “this year’s scientific program was carefully put together to tackle all the key topics that have arisen in the light of COVID-19, and uncover and discuss effective and efficient treatment solutions, as well as discuss various approaches and techniques. Additionally, we are going to focus on the dermatology practice during COVID-19 and how we can improve the wellbeing of our patients, and will also discuss whether these skin diseases have increased or decreased during COVID-19.”
He concluded: “The Dubai Derma conference will also cover topics related to major skin diseases, as well as some of the basic skills in surgery, which will provide insights on how to preform basic surgery like stitching, and how to develop these skills to be able to perform different grafts or flaps for the surgery, in addition to focusing on providing insights into Laser, Fillers and Botox. Today, Dubai Derma is a considered to be a global scientific institution that has facilitated the exchange of knowledge and expertise for doctors from all over the world, through the educational courses and workshops it offers, which have greatly contributed over the years to refining the expertise of doctors and training them.”
From his side, Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Executive Chairman of Dubai Derma and Chairman of INDEX Holding said: “Every year, we witness an astounding increase in the turnout of exhibitors, visitors, and participants of Dubai Derma, and it is evident that this event has become an indispensable meeting of the field’s most prominent experts, brands and companies.”

Furthermore, the first day of the conference discussed key topics in the field such as: Hyperpigmentation, Acne, Melasma, Chemical Peels, Hair loss, and more, through lectures delivered by some of the most prominent doctors and specialists from around the world.

“تبلغ قيمة قطاع طب الجلد والتجميل حوالي 20 مليار درهم”
افتتح سمو الشيخ حشر بن مكتوم آل مكتوم، مدير دائرة إعلام دبي صباح اليوم، الدورة العشرين من مؤتمر ومعرض دبي العالمي لأمراض الجلد والليزر” دبي ديرما”، الحدث الرائد في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وإفريقيا في مركز دبي التجاري العالمي. ومن المقرر أن يستمر الحدث لغاية 8 يوليو، بمشاركة أبرز الشركات والأطباء والمتخصصين والخبراء في مجال طب الجلد والليزر والتجميل.
واستُهل حفل الافتتاح بكلمة ترحيبية ألقاها الدكتور حسن كلداري، رئيس اللجنة العلمية لمؤتمر دبي ديرما حيث رحب فيها بالحضور وأكد على الأهمية التي يعكسها انعقاد هذا الملتقى بشكل فعلي على أرض دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، تلتها كلمة الدكتور عبدالوهاب الفوزان، رئيس “الأكاديمية العربية للأمراض الجلدية والتجميل” والذي استذكر فيها وقفات الشيخ حمدان بن راشد آل مكتوم – رحمه الله- دعماً لدبي ديرما وتشجيعه للأطباء واهتمامه ومساهمته الفعلية في الارتقاء والتقدم السريع للخدمات الصحية ومجال الرعاية الصحية، رحمه الله.
وفي نهاية حفل الافتتاح، قام الدكتور رياض مشعل، أمين عام رابطة أطباء الجلد العرب بتسليط الضوء على أهمية هذا التجمع الحيوي للمختصين في المجال وأهمية الفرص التي يقدمها لإثراء المعلومات وتبادل الخبرات بين الأطباء والمختصين من جميع أنحاء العالم.
وعقب الافتتاح، قام سمو الشيخ حشر بن مكتوم آل مكتوم بجولة في أجنحة المعرض وبرفقته كل من سعادة عوض صغير الكتبي المدير العام لهيئة الصحة بدبي، والدكتور إبراهيم كلداري، أستاذ الأمراض الجلدية ورئيس مؤتمر “دبي ديرما”، والدكتور عبدالسلام المدني، الرئيس التنفيذي لمؤتمر ومعرض “دبي ديرما” ورئيس “اندكس القابضة”، وبعض من أبرز الأسماء في المجال من أطباء وخبراء، واطلع سموه على أحدث التقنیات والمنتجات التي توصلت إليها الشركات العالمية في مجال أمراض الجلد والليزر والتجميل. وقام سموّه أيضاً بزيارة منصات عرض أكبر الشركات العالمية واطلع على العلامات التجارية الرائدة في المجال والتي تستعرض أحدث منتجاتها في “دبي ديرما”.
وقال الدكتور إبراهيم كلداري، أستاذ الأمراض الجلدية ورئيس مؤتمر “دبي ديرما”: “يشهد مجال طب الجلد والتجميل نمواً متطرداً وسريعاً حيث نرى تطورات سريعة وكبيرة في الأجهزة والمواد والعلاجات الضوئية، وذلك بوتيرة أسرع من أي من العلوم الأخرى. وتبلغ قيمة هذا القطاع حوالي 20 مليار درهم، وتغطي سوق مستحضرات التجميل وأجهزة التجميل وعمليات التجميل. ولذلك فإنه أصبح من الضروري جداً للمهنيين والمختصين في هذا المجال أن يكون لديهم منصة تسهل عليهم تبادل المعرفة فيما بينهم، وتساعدهم على الالتقاء لتعزيز خبراتهم، وتمكّنهم من تلبية احتياجات المرضى ورعايتهم بشكل أفضل على إمتداد العالم، وهذا بالفعل ما يوفره “دبي ديرما”.
وأضاف قائلاً: “تم إعداد البرنامج العلمي لهذا العام بعناية لمعالجة جميع المواضيع الرئيسية التي نتجت عن جائحة كوفيد-19، والكشف عن حلول العلاج الفعالة ومناقشتها، فضلاً عن مناقشة الأساليب والتقنيات المختلفة. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، سنركز على أساليب ممارسة طب الأمراض الجلدية خلال كوفيد-19 وكيف يمكننا تحسين جودة الرعاية الصحية للمرضى، وسنناقش أيضاً ما إذا كانت هذه الأمراض الجلدية قد ارتفعت أو انخفضت خلال جائحة كوفيد-19.”
واختتم حديثه قائلاً: “سيغطي مؤتمر دبي ديرما أيضاً مواضيع تتعلق بأمراض الجلد، بالإضافة إلى بعض المهارات الأساسية في الجراحة، والتي ستوفر رؤى جديدة حول كيفية إجراء الجراحة الأساسية مثل الخياطة، وكيفية تطوير هذه المهارات، بالإضافة إلى التركيز على تقديم حلول فعالة وناجعة في هذا المجال من خلال استخدام تقنيات الليزر والفيلرز والبوتوكس. يُعد “دبي ديرما” اليوم مؤسسة علمية عالمية، سهلت على الكثير من الأطباء التعلّم ومشاركة الخبرات عن طريق الدورات التعليمية وورش العمل التي يقدمها هذا الحدث الفريد، والتي ساهمت عبر السنوات في صقل خبرات الأطباء وتدريب المختصين منهم والذين تنقصهم المهارات العملية.”
من جانبه، قال الدكتور عبد السلام المدني، الرئيس التنفيذي لمؤتمر ومعرض “دبي ديرما” ورئيس اندكس القابضة: “نشهد في كل عام زيادة مذهلة في إقبال العارضين والزوار والمشاركين في “دبي ديرما”، وهذا يدل بوضوح على أن هذا الحدث أصبح ملتقى لا غنى عنه لأبرز الخبراء والعلامات التجارية والشركات المختصة في هذا المجال “.
وأضاف قائلاً: “يسعدنا جداً الترحيب بزوار “دبي ديرما” من جديد، ونعتبر ذلك مؤشراً واضحاً على الأهمية الكبيرة لمكانة دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة وقدراتها الكبيرة على استضافة الأحداث ذات المستوى العالمي، مع الاستمرار في تطبيق الإجراءات الاحترازية والحفاظ على الاحتياطات اللازمة لضمان سلامة وراحة الزوار والحضور “.
واختتم قائلاً: “يضم المعرض هذا العام أكثر من 350 شركة عارضة تمثل أكثر من 500 علامة تجارية عالمية، حيث سيتمكن أكثر من 14,500 طبيب ومتخصص وخبير من استكشاف أحدث التقنيات والابتكارات المستخدمة في مجال الأمراض الجلدية والليزر، كما ستتاح لهم الفرصة للتواصل والتلاقي مع زملائهم من جميع أنحاء العالم “.
من جانبه، قال الدكتور حسن كلداري، رئيس اللجنة العلمية لمؤتمر “دبي ديرما”: “يتحدث الجميع عن “الوضع الطبيعي الجديد” وكيف ستسير الأمور إلى الأمام. وبالتأكيد ونظراً لمشاركة عدد كبير من المتحدثين مع استخدام التكنولوجيا المتطورة والتركيز على الابتكار الذي أصبح مرادفاً لدبي، فإن هذه الدورة من” دبي ديرما” أثبتت عودة زخم الحضور والمشاركة الكبيرة كما كان عليه الوضع دائماً في السنوات السابقة. وكما سيكون الحضور والمشاركون على ثقة تامة بأن الجلسات المباشرة والافتراضية ستنظم بأعلى مستويات الجودة خلال المؤتمر. والأهم من ذلك أنهم سيشهدون مشاركة عدداً كبيراً من المتحدثين الدوليين أكثر من أي وقت مضى.”
هذا وتناول اليوم الأول من المؤتمر العديد من الموضوعات الرئيسية مثل فرط التصبغ وحب الشباب والكلف والتقشير الكيميائي للبشرة وتساقط الشعر وغيرها من الموضوعات الهامة، عبر جلسات ومحاضرات ألقاها بعض من أبرز المختصين في المجال.
