Schneider Electric’s Caspar Herzberg Appointed to RES4Africa Foundation’s Executive Committee
Schneider Electric’s MEA President will further RES4Africa’s efforts to promote green energy technologies throughout the continent
Dubai, UAE, 8 July 2021: RES4Africa Foundation has appointed Schneider Electric’s Middle East and Africa President Caspar Herzberg to its Executive Committee. The not-for-profit association, which is committed to promoting a green energy transition throughout the continent, made the decision during its last general meeting. Schneider Electric’s Caspar Herzberg will serve a four-year term as a member of the RES4Africa Foundation’s executive committee and will support the body in promoting sustainable energy technologies and engaging with key stakeholders in government and the private sector.
Founded in 2012, RES4Africa is a think tank that promotes the deployment of large-scale and decentralised renewable energy in Africa. The organization’s vision is to contribute to paving the road towards a prosperous Africa, grounded on the use of renewable energy sources, to power African economies’ rise, enabling the continent to achieve its full, resilient and inclusive sustainable development. Schneider Electric is a member of RES4Africa and supports its vision and mission to make power generation throughout the region greener and more sustainable.
