The region’s largest carpet factory, Standard Carpets, expands in Dubai Industrial City
- Exports will reach 60 countries across Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe, North America, Middle East, boosting confidence in Made in UAE products
- Solar-powered facility will be among the world’s largest all-under-one-roof carpet factories, as well as the region’s biggest
- State-of-the-art facility covers a total land area of 3 million sq. ft, total built-up area of 1.6 million sq. ft.

Standard Carpets, the region’s largest producer and exporter of broadloom carpets, carpet tiles and artificial grass, has broken ground on a new manufacturing plant in Dubai Industrial City that will become one of the world’s largest carpet factories and the region’s biggest upon completion in 2023.
Covering a total land area of more than 3 million sq. ft, the state-of-the-art facility will allow Standard Carpets to increase production capacity by 40 per cent and produce an additional 400 tonnes of yarn per month in first phase of the development.
Expansion is an important milestone for both parties. It will boost Operation 300bn, promote high-quality Made in UAE products, enhance Dubai’s position as a global manufacturing hub and contribute to GDP growth. Upon completion, Standard Carpets will operate one of the world’s largest single-site flooring plants covering a total built-up area of 1.6 million sq. ft.

Standard Carpets’ new factory will be one of the world’s largest all-under-one-roof carpet factories. It will harness the latest advances in carpet-making equipment and technology with in-house yarn extrusion, twisting-cabling and heat-set facilities. It will generate enough renewable energy to meet more than one-third of its electricity consumption with a massive solar rooftop, divert waste away from landfill and reduce water consumption with smart sustainability solutions. Furthermore, it will significantly expand production, with the company already producing more than 1,000 flooring products in a selection of premium patterns and colours. The materials are also antimicrobial, fire-retardant and resistant to UV light.
Confidence and trust in locally-produced products has helped Dubai’s non-oil trade rise by 8 per cent in 2020, according to Dubai Customs.[1] Everything made in Dubai Industrial City – from cement and carpets to personal care items, food or beverage and coffee – meets the highest international standards and successfully demonstrates how ‘Made in UAE’ exports compete on cost and quality with global brands in markets all over the world.

أعلنت شركة “ستاندارد كاربتس”، أكبر منتج ومصدر للسجاد والموكيت والعشب الصناعي في دولة الإمارات، عن خطة لتوسيع مصنعها الحالي في مدينة دبي الصناعية ليصبح بذلك أحد أكبر مصانع السجاد في العالم، والأكبر في المنطقة، عند اكتماله عام 2023.
وستمتد المنشأة الحديثة على مساحة أرض إجمالية تزيد على 3 ملايين قدم مربعة وسوف تتيح لشركة “ستاندارد كاربتس” زيادة طاقتها الإنتاجية بنسبة 40% وإنتاج 400 طن إضافي من الخيوط شهرياً ضمن المرحلة الأولى من المشروع.
ويمثل هذا التوسع هو خطوة هامة، حيث ستشغل ستاندارد كاربتس واحداً من أكبر مصانع السجاد والأرضيات تحت سقف واحد في العالم وبمساحة بناء إجمالية قدرها 1.6 مليون قدم مربعة، بما يدعم مبادرة “مشروع 300 مليار”، ويعزز مكانة وسمعة المنتجات التي تحمل علامة “صنع في الإمارات”، ويرسخ مكانة دبي مركزاً عالمياً للصناعة والإنتاج، كما سيساهم عند اكتماله في دعم نمو الناتج المحلي الإجمالي للدولة.
وقال عبد الله بالهول، الرئيس التنفيذي للشؤون التجارية في دبي القابضة لإدارة الأصول: “تعد زيادة مساهمة التصنيع في الناتج المحلي الإجمالي لدولة الإمارات أولوية وطنية حددتها رؤية قيادتنا الرشيدة للنمو وتنويع الموارد الاقتصادية. ومن خلال الجمع بين التقنيات المتقدمة والتصميم المتميز والابتكار المستدام، أصبحت ستاندارد كاربتس اليوم أكبر منتج في الدولة لسجاد النول العريض، وكلنا ثقة بأن هذا التوسع سيسهم في تعزيز النشاط الصناعي في الدولة ويعزز مكانة دبي مركزاً تجارياً وصناعياً عالمياً”.

بدوره قال جولو واني، رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة ستاندارد كاربتس: “حققنا نمواً هائلاً منذ إنشاء أكبر مصنع للسجاد في المنطقة داخل مدينة دبي الصناعية عام 2014. إذ مكننا ذلك من توسيع الطاقة الإنتاجية بنجاح، وزيادة مجموعة منتجاتنا عالية الجودة والوصول إلى أسواق جديدة في أكثر من 60 دولة، تشمل أستراليا ونيوزيلندا والسعودية والولايات المتحدة. ويعد وضع حجر الأساس لتوسعتنا المتطورة إنجازاً مهماً آخر يؤكد التزامنا طويل الأمد تجاه التواجد في دبي وثقتنا الراسخة في رؤية الإمارات للمستقبل”.
وسيصبح مصنع “ستاندارد كاربتس” الجديد أحد أكبر مصانع السجاد المنفردة في العالم. وسيستفيد من أحدث تطورات معدات وتقنيات صناعة السجاد بما يشمل غزل الخيوط ونسجها ومرافق التثبيت الحراري داخل المصنع. وسينتج المصنع طاقة متجددة تلبي أكثر من ثلث استهلاكه من الكهرباء مع سقف ضخم يولد الطاقة الشمسية، إضافة إلى تحويل النفايات وتدويرها، وترشيد استهلاك المياه عبر حلول الاستدامة الذكية. كما سيوسع الإنتاج إلى حد كبير، حيث تنتج الشركة أكثر من ألف منتج للأرضيات بمجموعة مختارة من الأنماط والألوان المتميزة، فيما تستخدم المواد المضادة للميكروبات والمقاومة للحرائق والأشعة فوق البنفسجية.
ووفقاً لجمارك دبي، ساعدت الثقة في المنتجات المصنوعة محلياً في زيادة التجارة غير النفطية في دبي بنسبة 8% في عام 2020، وتلبي جميع المنتجات التي تتم صناعتها في مدينة دبي الصناعية – من الأسمنت والسجاد إلى منتجات العناية الشخصية والقهوة – أعلى المعايير الدولية وتظهر قدرة صادرات “صنع في الإمارات” على المنافسة من حيث التكلفة والجودة مع علامات تجارية عالمية في جميع أنحاء العالم.
