{:en}Port Louis, Mauritius, (AETOSWire) – The Republic of Mauritius is looking forward to the full reopening of its borders on 1st October, when vaccinated international travellers will be welcomed in without restrictions. Visitors who present a negative PCR test taken in the 72 hours before their departure will be able to explore the island freely from the moment they arrive.

The successful acceleration of the country’s vaccination programme has allowed Mauritius to progress with the full reopening and welcome visitors into a safe and secure environment. At this moment 1,322,232 vaccine doses have been administered in total to citizens and residents. The percentage of people vaccinated:
- first dose: 59.06%
- fully vaccinated: 47.46%
The Mauritian government took the decision in January to prioritise tourism workers and hotel staff in the vaccine rollout to ensure visitors will be welcomed into a safe and secure environment in Mauritius.
Arvind Bundhun, Director of Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority said: “Mauritius is delighted to see the world opening up again for travel. We have been welcoming international visitors to our island since the middle of July and the ‘resort bubbles’ have proven a great success.
“We are looking forward to the next stage of our reopening on 1st October, when vaccinated visitors will be able to explore the island without restriction from the moment of their arrival. The safety and security of Mauritian residents, citizens and guests remains paramount.”
Airline capacity from Europe and the Middle East is currently provided by Air Mauritius, Emirates, Turkish Airlines, Air France, Kenya Airways and British Airways.
International visitors can currently book their ‘resort bubble’ holidays either via tour operators or directly with the hotels. Unvaccinated travellers are required to complete a 14-day quarantine period in a designated quarantine hotel.

بورت لويس، موريشيوس، ( “ايتوس واير”): تتطلّع جمهورية موريشيوس إلى إعادة فتح حدودها بالكامل في الأول من أكتوبر 2021، لتُرحّب بالمسافرين الدوليين المطعّمين بالكامل دون أيّ قيود. ويُمكن للزوار، الذين يقدّمون نتيجة سلبية لفحص تفاعل البوليمراز المتسلسل “بيه سي آر” أُجري قبل 72 ساعة من موعد مغادرتهم، التجوّل بحرية في الجزيرة منذ لحظة وصولهم.
وبفضل المناخ المثالي، سيستمتع الزوّار بأنشطة متنوعة في الهواء الطلق إلى جانب الشواطئ الخلابة لجزيرة موريشيوس.
وفتحت موريشيوس حدودها أمام جزئياً المسافرين الدوليين في يوليو مع فرض بعض القيود. ويُمكن حالياً للضيوف قضاء 14 يوماً في “منتجعات فندقية معزولة”. وتتوفّر قائمة المنتجعات المعتمدة والآمنة من “كوفيد-19” عبر الموقع الإلكتروني التالي: www.mauritiusnow.com.
وبفضل تسريع وتيرة برنامج التطعيم في البلاد، تمكّنت موريشيوس من مواصلة العمل على إعادة فتح حدودها بالكامل للترحيب بالزوّار ضمن بيئة سليمة وآمنة. وحتّى هذه اللحظة، تمّ توزيع إجمالي 1,322,232 جرعة لقاح على المواطنين والمقيمين. ونُورد أدناه النِسب المئوية للأشخاص المطعّمين:
- الجرعة الأولى: 59.06 في المائة
- الجرعة الثانية: 47.46 في المائة
وقررت حكومة موريشيوس في يناير منح الأولوية في تلقّي التطعيم للعاملين في قطاع السياحة وموظفي الفنادق لضمان الترحيب بزوار موريشيوس في بيئة سليمة وآمنة.
وفي هذا السياق، قال أرفيند بوندون، رئيس هيئة موريشيوس للترويج السياحي: “نُعرب في موريشيوس عن سعادتنا بفتح الحدود العالمية مجدداً أمام السفر. وبدأنا الترحيب بالزوار الدوليين في جزيرتنا منذ منتصف شهر يوليو، حيث حققت ’المنتجعات الفندقية المعزولة‘ نجاحاً باهراً”.
وتابع قائلاً: “نتطلّع قُدماً للمرحلة المُقبلة من إعادة فتح الحدود في الأول من أكتوبر، حيث سيتمكّن الزوّار المطعّمون من التجوّل بحرية في الجزيرة منذ لحظة وصولهم. ونُولي اهتماماً بالغاً بسلامة وأمن مواطني موريشيوس والمقيمين وزوار الجزيرة”.
وتُوفّر الناقلات التالية الرحلات الجوية من أوروبا والشرق الأوسط: طيران موريشيوس وطيران الإمارات والخطوط الجوية التركية والخطوط الجوية الفرنسية والخطوط الجوية الكينية والخطوط الجوية البريطانية.
ويُمكن للزوار الدوليين حالياً حجز عطلاتهم ضمن المنتجعات الفندقية المعزولة عبر منظّمي الرحلات أو مباشرة مع الفنادق. ويجب على المسافرين غير المطعّمين إتمام حجر صحيّ لمدة 14 يوماً في أحد الفنادق المخصصة للحجر الصحيّ.
