The Future in Motion to reimagine a new momentum for human mobility towards a more sustainable and resilient future
Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, September 7th, 2021 — The 100-day countdown begins as the Global Citizen Forum returns to the global stage with its next Annual Summit to be held in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates from December 12-13, 2021, at the Al Hamra International Exhibition & Conference Centre.
Under the theme, The Future in Motion, the summit will be hosted in partnership with Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority — gathering the world’s leading minds to reimagine a new momentum for human mobility and feature pioneering initiatives that promote sustainable tourism.

The Emirate is committed to creating a sustainable world with responsible tourism at the heart of our strategy. As a nature-based Emirate, the significance of mobility will be brought to life across new attractions and offerings and will enhance knowledge and understanding of conservation and sustainable tourism,” commented Raki Phillips, CEO, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority.

In 2020, Ras Al Khaimah became the first safe-city in the world as certified by Bureau Veritas, as well as the first to receive the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) Safe Travels stamp. The Emirate is also one of the fastest developing sustainable tourism destinations in the region, named the Gulf Tourism Capital two years in a row, and continues to host a number of prestigious regional and international events every year.
Previous Annual Summits hosted in Dubai, Toronto, Monaco, and Sveti Stefan have welcomed the late Kofi Annan, José Manuel Barroso, Irina Bokova, Kristalina Georgieva, Duško Marković, Jeanette Kagame, Gaston Browne, Robert De Niro, Wyclef Jean, Akon, EVE, as well as a number of heads of state, members of Royal families, notable entrepreneurs and philanthropists.
Since its inception in 2013, the Global Citizen Forum has built a global network of leaders, visionaries and catalyzers with a common mission to unlock the potential of global citizenship and empower a world rooted in the freedom of sustainable human mobility.

{:}{:ar} “المستقبل قيد العمل” تصور لدفعة جديدة في مجال النقل البشري نحو مستقبل أكثر استدامة ومرونة
رأس الخيمة، الإمارات العربية المتحدة، 7 سبتمبر 2021 – بدأ العد التنازلي لقمة منتدى المواطن العالمي التي تعقد في رأس الخيمة الإماراتية يومي 12 و13 ديسمبر 2021، وذلك في مركز الحمرا العالمي للمعارض والمؤتمرات.
وتحت عنوان “المستقبل قيد العمل”، تقام هذه القمّة بالشراكة مع هيئة رأس الخيمة لتنمية السياحة، وتجمع ألمع العقول العالمية من أجل تقديم تصور لدفعة جديدة في مجال النقل البشري، واعتماد مبادرات ريادية لدعم السياحة المستدامة.
وفي تعليق له على هذا الحدث، قال راكي فيليبس، الرئيس التنفيذي لهيئة رأس الخيمة لتنمية السياحة: “من دواعي سرورنا استضافة قمة المواطن العالمي من جديد في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، وأن نكون جزءاً من هذا الحوار المهم، ومن مسيرة رأس الخيمة نحو مستقبل أكثر مرونة. الإمارة ملتزمة بإنشاء عالم مستدام، وتشكل السياحة المستدامة أساساً لاستراتيجيتها. بوصفنا إمارة قائمة على المواقع الطبيعية، سنعزز من جودة التنقل من خلال وجهات وخدمات جديدة، من شأنها تعزيز الوعي بالحفاظ على البيئة والسياحة المستدامة.”
وأضاف فيليبس قائلاً: “مع اقتراب معرض إكسبو في دبي، أصبحت دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة من أكثر وجهات السفر شعبية حول العالم ومن أكثرها أماناً بعد الجائحة، ونحن متحمسون لاستقبال أعضاء المنتدى وضيوفنا الكرام، بالتزامن مع مبادراتنا العديدة لتحقيق تغيير إيجابي ملحوظ في حياة الأجيال المقبلة.”
وكانت رأس الخيمة في عام 2020 أول مدينة تحصل على اعتماد الأمان من “بيرو فيريتاس” (Bureau Veritas)، وأول إمارة تتلقى ختم “السفر الآمن” من المجلس العالمي للسفر والسياحة (WTTC)، كما كانت الإمارة من أسرع الوجهات المستدامة نمواً في المنطقة، وحصلت على لقب “عاصمة السياحة الخليجية” لعامين على التوالي، كما تواصل استضافة عدد من الفعاليات الإقليمية والدولية المرموقة كل عام.
وأقيمت قمم منتدى المواطن العالمي سابقاً في دبي وتورنتو وموناكو وجزيرة سويتي ستيفان، وشهدت حضور شخصيات بارزة، مثل كوفي عنان وجوزيه مانويل باروسو وإيرينا بوكوفا وكريستالينا جورجيفا، ودوشكو ماركوفيتش وجانيت كاغامي وغاتسون براون، وروبرت دينيرو ووايكليف جان وإيف، إلى جانب عددٍ من قادة الدول وأعضاء الأسر الملكية، وأبرز رواد الأعمال والمؤسسات الخيرية.
ومنذ إطلاقه عام 2013، تحول منتدى المواطن العالمي إلى شبكة عالمية من القادة وأصحاب الرؤية والمحفزين، يجتمعون حول مهمّة مشتركة وهي إطلاق كل الإمكانات الكامنة في مبدأ المواطنة العالمية، للوصول إلى عالم معزز بحرية تنقل البشر بشكل مستدام.

حول هيئة رأس الخيمة لتنمية السياحة
تأسست هيئة رأس الخيمة لتنمية السياحة في مايو عام 2011 كهيئة تابعة لحكومة رأس الخيمة. ولتحقيق هدفها في استقطاب 1.5 مليون زائر بحلول عام 2021 و3 ملايين زائر بحلول 2025 ، تسعى الهيئة إلى تطوير البنى السياحية التحتية للإمارة وترسيخ مكانتها كوجهة عالمية مرموقة للمسافرين بقصد الترفيه والأعمال، وإيجاد الفرص الاستثمارية المستدامة وتحسين نوعية حياة سكانها. ولتحقيق هذه الأهداف، حصلت الهيئة على تفويض حكومي يتيح لها إصدار التراخيص وتنظيم ومراقبة قطاع السياحة والضيافة في الإمارة.{:}
