Mongolia celebrates its Expo 2020 National Day with a traditional music and dance performance

DUBAI, 16 November 2021 – Mongolia celebrated its National Day at Expo 2020 Dubai on Tuesday with a spectacular ceremony that included the hoisting of the national flag and a colourful traditional music and dance performance at Al Wasl Plaza.
Dureen Tumenjargal, Director of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Deputy Commissioner General of the Mongolia Pavilion, was welcomed by Najeeb Mohammed Al-Ali, Executive Director of the Office of the Commissioner General of Expo 2020 Dubai.
Najeeb Mohammed Al-Ali said: “Under the theme ‘Nomad by Nature’, the Mongolia Pavilion embraces the nomadic lifestyle that has been held in Mongolia for thousands of years, and illustrates how that co-exists with the current and developing urban lifestyle.
“Visitors to the pavilion will be immersed in its display of Mongolia’s rich heritage, while also being provided with an opportunity to explore the country’s touristic offerings. The pavilion does a wonderful job of highlighting the historical significance and cultural attributes which have shaped Mongolia’s unique identity.”
Tumenjargal said: “This year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the UAE. I am confident that our participation in this iconic universal event, Expo 2020 Dubai, will further strengthen our bilateral relations and business cooperation.
“This Expo has particular significance, as 192 countries are gathering together during COVID time. The event is an important platform for sharing knowledge, values, culture, achievements and best practices. It is an opportunity for governmental and non-governmental organisations to discuss global challenges. At the Mongolia Pavilion, we are happy to showcase our heritage, nomadic lifestyle and business opportunities.”
Speaking at a media briefing the Mongolia Pavilion itself, Tumenjargal added: “Mongolia is currently in a period of transition. We have embraced free economy since 1990. We have to move hand-in-hand with the rest of the world. Apart from our heritage and touristic attractions, we have rich mineral resources. We want to tell the world that the government of Mongolia and the private sector are ready for foreign investment.”
On Wednesday, the country will host a Business Forum at Expo 2020’s Business Connect Centre.
Located in the Mobility District, the Mongolia Pavilion reflects the millennia-old nomadic lifestyle of its people. Visitors can explore the country’s wildlife, including the central role horses play in Mongolian culture. The pavilion also offers traditional throat-singing and ancient games, such as ‘shagai’, which is played using the cleaned and polished anklebones of sheep.
National and Honour Days at Expo 2020 Dubai are moments to celebrate each of our 200-plus International Participants, shining a light on their culture and achievements, and showcasing their pavilions and programming. Each features a flag-raising ceremony at the Stage of Nations in Al Wasl Plaza, followed by speeches and cultural performances.
Running until 31 March 2022, Expo 2020 has invited visitors from across the planet to join the making of a new world in a six-month celebration of human creativity, innovation, progress and culture.

منغوليا تحتفل بيومها الوطني في إكسبو 2020 دبي
دبي، 16 نوفمبر 2021 – أقامت دولة منغوليا حفلاً بمناسبة يومها الوطني في إكسبو 2020، اليوم، حيث نظمت مجموعة من الأنشطة الثقافية والترفيهية، شملت عروضا حية وأطعمة تقليدية، وذلك بعد رفع علم الدولة في ساحة الوصل وسط حضور رفيع المستوى.
ورحب نجيب محمد العلي، المدير التنفيذي لمكتب المفوَّض العام، إكسبو 2020 دبي، بـمعالي باتسيتسيغ باتمونخ، وزيرة خارجية منغوليا والمفوّض العام لمنغوليا لدى إكسبو 2020.
وقال نجيب محمد العلي: “يحمل جناح منغوليا شعار (رحّالة بطبيعتها)، ويجسد أسلوب الحياة البدوي الذي تتحلى به منغوليا منذ آلاف السنين، ويستعرض كيف يتعايش ذلك مع أسلوب الحياة الحضري الحالي والمتطور الذي تعيشه الدولة حالياً مع نمو كل مناحي الحياة”.
وأضاف: “يعيش زوار الجناح المنغولي في إكسبو 2020 دبي تجربة تراثية وثقافية فريدة تجسد الحضارة الغنية لهذه البلاد، فيما يحظى الزوار بفرصة استكشاف الفرص السياحية التي تقدمها منغوليا”.
وأوضح العلي: “لقد لمسنا كيف يؤدي جناح منغوليا عملاً رائعاً من حيث تسليط الضوء على الأهمية التاريخية والسمات الثقافية التي رسمت ملامح الهوية الفريدة لمنغوليا وتعريف الزوار بهذه التجربة المميزة التي نعتز باستضافتها في إكسبو 2020 دبي”.
وأشاد دورين تومينجارغال، مدير الغرفة الوطنية للتجارة والصناعة في منغوليا ونائب المفوض العام لجناح منغوليا في اكسبو 2020، بالعلاقات الودية التي تجمع بلاده بدولة الإمارات، وقال: “نعتز بمشاركتنا في إكسبو 2020 بنسخته الأخيرة كونها توافق الذكرى 25 لتأسيس العلاقات الدبلوماسية مع دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة”.
وأضاف: “لدينا روابط قوية مع دولة الإمارات على الصعيد الاقتصادي والثقافي، ونتشارك قيم واهتمامات واحدة مثل الشغف بالإبل، وهواية صيد الصقور”.
وتابع: “يحرص جناحنا في إكسبو 2020 على تعريف العالم بالتاريخ العريق الذي تزخر به منغوليا، والتنوع المناخي اللافت لدينا. تمر بلدنا بفترة تحولية نحو الاقتصاد الحر، ونحن لا نزال بطور البداية لكننا واثقون أننا نستطيع أن نسير نحو المستقبل من خلال علاقاتنا القوية مع مختلف دول العالم”.
ويقع جناح منغوليا في منطقة التنقل، وهو يعكس نمط الحياة البدوية لشعبها منذ آلاف السنين. حيث يمكن للزوار استكشاف الحياة البرية في الدولة، بما في ذلك الدور الأساسي الذي تلعبه الخيول في الثقافة المنغولية. ويقدم الجناح عروض غناء تقليدي، وألعاب قديمة مثل لعبة “شاغاي”، التي تُلعَب باستخدام عظام كاحل الغنم النظيفة والمصقولة.
الأيام الوطنية والأيام الفخرية في إكسبو 2020 دبي هي أوقات للاحتفاء بكلٍ من مشاركينا الدوليين الذين يزيد عددهم عن 200 مشارك، حيث يُسلَّط الضوء على ثقافاتهم، وإنجازاتهم، وتُعرَض أجنحتهم وبرامجهم. ويضم كل من هذه الأيام الوطنية والفخرية مراسم رفع العلم على منصة الأمم في ساحة الوصل، تليها خطابات وعروض ثقافية.
ويُقام إكسبو 2020 دبي حتى 31 مارس 2022، ويدعو الزوار من جميع أنحاء العالم لنصنع معاً عالماً جديداً، في احتفال بالإبداع البشري، والابتكار، والتقدم، والثقافة يمتد ستة أشهر.
