Mongolia celebrates its Expo 2020 National Day with a traditional music and dance performance
DUBAI, 16 November 2021 – Mongolia celebrated its National Day at Expo 2020 Dubai on Tuesday with a spectacular ceremony that included the hoisting of the national flag and a colourful traditional music and dance performance at Al Wasl Plaza.
Dureen Tumenjargal, Director of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Deputy Commissioner General of the Mongolia Pavilion, was welcomed by Najeeb Mohammed Al-Ali, Executive Director of the Office of the Commissioner General of Expo 2020 Dubai.
Najeeb Mohammed Al-Ali said: “Under the theme ‘Nomad by Nature’, the Mongolia Pavilion embraces the nomadic lifestyle that has been held in Mongolia for thousands of years, and illustrates how that co-exists with the current and developing urban lifestyle.
“Visitors to the pavilion will be immersed in its display of Mongolia’s rich heritage, while also being provided with an opportunity to explore the country’s touristic offerings. The pavilion does a wonderful job of highlighting the historical significance and cultural attributes which have shaped Mongolia’s unique identity.”
Tumenjargal said: “This year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the UAE. I am confident that our participation in this iconic universal event, Expo 2020 Dubai, will further strengthen our bilateral relations and business cooperation.
“This Expo has particular significance, as 192 countries are gathering together during COVID time. The event is an important platform for sharing knowledge, values, culture, achievements and best practices. It is an opportunity for governmental and non-governmental organisations to discuss global challenges. At the Mongolia Pavilion, we are happy to showcase our heritage, nomadic lifestyle and business opportunities.”
Speaking at a media briefing the Mongolia Pavilion itself, Tumenjargal added: “Mongolia is currently in a period of transition. We have embraced free economy since 1990. We have to move hand-in-hand with the rest of the world. Apart from our heritage and touristic attractions, we have rich mineral resources. We want to tell the world that the government of Mongolia and the private sector are ready for foreign investment.”
On Wednesday, the country will host a Business Forum at Expo 2020’s Business Connect Centre.
Located in the Mobility District, the Mongolia Pavilion reflects the millennia-old nomadic lifestyle of its people. Visitors can explore the country’s wildlife, including the central role horses play in Mongolian culture. The pavilion also offers traditional throat-singing and ancient games, such as ‘shagai’, which is played using the cleaned and polished anklebones of sheep.
National and Honour Days at Expo 2020 Dubai are moments to celebrate each of our 200-plus International Participants, shining a light on their culture and achievements, and showcasing their pavilions and programming. Each features a flag-raising ceremony at the Stage of Nations in Al Wasl Plaza, followed by speeches and cultural performances.
Running until 31 March 2022, Expo 2020 has invited visitors from across the planet to join the making of a new world in a six-month celebration of human creativity, innovation, progress and culture.

منغوليا تحتفل بيومها الوطني في إكسبو 2020 دب
دبي، 17 نوفمبر 2021: أقامت جمهورية منغوليا حفلاً بمناسبة يومها الوطني في إكسبو 2020 دبي، اليوم، حيث نظمت مجموعة من الأنشطة الثقافية والترفيهية المنوعة، التي شملت تقديم عروض موسيقية وفولكلورية حية، وذلك بعد إقامة مراسم رفع العلم الرسمية في ساحة الوصل وسط حضور رفيع المستوى.
وقد رحب نجيب محمد العلي، المدير التنفيذي لمكتب المفوَّض العام لإكسبو 2020 دبي، بـمعالي دورين تومينجارغال، مدير الغرفة الوطنية المنغولية للتجارة والصناعة، ونائب المفوض العام لجناح منغوليا في إكسبو 2020 دبي، الذي ترأس وفد بلاده في الحفل.
وقال نجيب محمد العلي: “يحتضن جناح منغوليا نمط حياة الرّحل الذي ساد في البلاد منذ آلاف السنين، ويوضح كيف يتزامن ذلك مع نمط الحياة الحضرية الراهن والمتنامي”.
وأضاف: “يغمر الجناح زواره باستعراض مميز لتراث منغوليا الغني، فيما يوفر أيضا فرصة لاستكشاف ما تزخر به هذه الدولة من إمكانات سياحية. ويتميز الجناح كذلك في تسليطه الضوء على الأهمية التاريخية لمنغوليا والسمات الثقافية التي تشكل هويتها الفريدة”.
وأشاد دورين تومينجارغال في كلمته، بالعلاقات الودية التي تجمع بلاده بدولة الإمارات، وقال: “نحتفي هذا العام بمرور 25 عاما على إقامة العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين منغوليا ودولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، وأنا على يقين بأن مشاركتنا في إكسبو 2020 دبي، الحدث الأيقوني العالمي، سوف تزيد من قوة العلاقات الثنائية التي تربط بين دولتينا فضلا عن زيادة التعاون التجاري بينهما”.
وأضاف: “تتمتع هذه النسخة من إكسبو الدولي بميزة كبيرة، وهي اجتماع 192 دولة معا لأول مرة بعد جائحة كوفيد-19، حيث يمثل هذا الحدث الدولي منصة مهمة لتبادل المعلومات، والقيم، والثقافات، والإنجازات، وأفضل الممارسات. كما أنه يجسد فرصة للمنظمات والهيئات الحكومية وغير الحكومية، لمناقشة التحديات العالمية، ونحن في جناح منغوليا، سعداء باستعراض تراثنا، ونمط حياتنا البدوي، إلى جانب فرص الأعمال التجارية التي نمتلكها”.
وفي حديثه لوسائل الإعلام، خلال الإحاطة الإعلامية التي نظمها جناح بلاده، أكد تومينجارغال: “تمر منغوليا حاليا بمرحلة انتقالية، لقد تمتعنا بمزايا الاقتصاد الحر من عام 1990، ونرغب اليوم في أن نضع أيدينا بأيدي بقية دول العالم، فبعيدا عن تراثنا الغني ووجهاتنا السياحية التي تجتذب السياح من جميع أركان الأرض، لدينا مصادر غنية من المعادن، ونريد أن نقول للعالم أجمع بأن حكومة منغوليا وقطاعها الخاص على أهبة الاستعداد لاستقبال الاستثمارات الأجنبية”.
ويقع جناح منغوليا في منطقة التنقل، وهو يعكس نمط الحياة البدوية لشعبها منذ آلاف السنين. حيث يمكن للزوار استكشاف الحياة البرية في الدولة، بما في ذلك الدور الأساسي الذي تلعبه الخيول في الثقافة المنغولية. ويقدم الجناح عروض غناء تقليدية، وألعاباً قديمة مثل لعبة “شاغاي”، التي تُوظف فيها عظام كاحل الغنم النظيفة والمصقولة.
وتعد الأيام الوطنية والأيام الفخرية في إكسبو 2020 دبي، أوقاتاً للاحتفال بالمشاركين الدوليين الذين يزيد عددهم عن 200 مشارك، حيث تسلَّط الضوء على ثقافاتهم، وإنجازاتهم، وما تعرضه أجنحتهم وبرامجهم. وتشمل فعاليات هذه الأيام الوطنية والفخرية، مراسم رفع العلم على منصة الأمم في ساحة الوصل، يليها إلقاء الكلمات الترحيبية وتقديم العروض الفنية الثقافية الخاصة بالدول.
ويتواصل إكسبو 2020 دبي حتى 31 مارس 2022، وهو يدعو الزوار من جميع أنحاء العالم للمشاركة والتعاون في صنع عالم جديد، وسط احتفال بالإبداع البشري، والابتكار، والتقدم، والثقافة لفترة تمتد لستة أشهر كاملة على أرض إمارة دبي ف يدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.
