- A key part of the world’s most influential gathering for the energy sector, the ADIPEC Smart Manufacturing Exhibition and Conference will bring together energy, manufacturing and high-tech industry leaders to redefine the future of production.
- Taking place only days after COP26, the global conference will focus on developing smart manufacturing systems that will strengthen resilience, navigate growth opportunities in green technology and meet net-zero carbon targets.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and hosted by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), ADIPEC is the largest annual gathering for the energy sector. A new addition to the landmark event, the Smart Manufacturing Exhibition and Conference, will provide a unique platform from which to shape the global manufacturing agenda in 2021 and beyond.
As governments look for a surge of sustainable industrial investment following COP26, ADIPEC’s Smart Manufacturing Exhibition Zone and Conference will form the bridge between local, regional and international manufacturers as the industry faces rapidly evolving strategies and operating environments. The Zone will host an array of state-of-the-art digital technologies that will enhance industrial production, including nanotechnology, responsive smart materials, artificial intelligence, computer-designed manufacturing and more.
The Conference, which begins tomorrow, 16 November, will address the transition from linear to circular economies, the transformation of supply chains, and the development of smart manufacturing ecosystems for the next generation. ADIPEC will welcome Her Excellency Sarah Bint Yousif Al Amiri, Minister of State for Advanced Technology, His Excellency Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of the Minister of State for Advanced Technology along with senior representatives from the Ministry as speakers at the event.
Leading technical experts set to speak on sessions at the Smart Manufacturing Conference include:
- Astrid Poupart-Lafarge, President of Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Segment at Schneider Electric, will share insight on the smart manufacturing hubs of the future, and how local and international companies can utilise them to support diversification and low carbon economies.
- Fahmi Al Shawwa, Founder & CEO of Immensa Technology Labs, will lead a panel session on transforming manufacturing supply chains, especially how sustainable materials pay in implementing a successful circular economy.
- Karl W. Feilder, CEO of Neutral Fuels, will speak on the integration of industrial parks and petrochemical derivates with a smart ecosystem, and how these smart manufacturing hubs offer new opportunities for partnerships and investments.
H.E. Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary for the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology said the Smart Manufacturing Zone aligns closely with the ministry’s efforts to champion digital technologies across the UAE’s industrial sector.
“In the year the United Arab Emirates celebrates its 50th anniversary, we have launched a series of initiatives that will pave the way for the nation’s growth and development over the next 50 years. Chief among them is UAE Industry 4.0, which seeks to enhance the integration of the tools of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and transform the nation’s industrial sector into a long-term, sustainable engine of growth.”
“Smart manufacturing deploys technologies such as artificial intelligence, the internet of things, data analysis and 3D printing to boost efficiency, productivity and product quality, and will be a vital component in our future global competitiveness. It will also play a major role in meeting our Net Zero commitment by reducing energy consumption and conserving vital resources,” he added.
“By hosting some of the leading smart manufacturing companies and their technologies, the UAE will underline its status as a regional hub for innovation while also providing our companies with first-hand access to global best-practice. It is an important step in inspiring a new era for our industry sector and strengthening our economic diversification program,” he concluded.

أبوظبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة، 15 نوفمبر 2021: يقام أديبك، أضخم حدث سنوي لقطاع الطاقة، تحت رعاية صاحب السمو الشيخ خليفة بن زايد آل نهيان، رئيس دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، وتستضيفه شركة بترول أبوظبي الوطنية (أدنوك)، حيث سيوفر معرض ومؤتمر التصنيع الذكي الأول من نوعه هذا العام إضافة جديدة إلى فعاليات الحدث العالمي ومنصة فريدة يمكن من خلالها رسم ملامح أجندة التصنيع العالمية في عام 2021 وما بعده.
ستشكل منطقة ومؤتمر التصنيع الذكي في أديبك 2021 جسرًا يصل بين الشركات المصنعة المحلية والإقليمية والدولية في الوقت الذي تبحث فيه الحكومات عن طفرة في الاستثمار الصناعي المستدام بعد مؤتمر الأطراف للمناخ (كوب 26)، حيث تواجه الصناعة في الوقت الحالي استراتيجيات وبيئات تشغيل سريعة التطور.
وستستضيف منطقة التصنيع الذكي مجموعة من التقنيات الرقمية الحديثة التي ستعزز الإنتاج الصناعي، بما في ذلك تكنولوجيا النانو والمواد الذكية السريعة الاستجابة والذكاء الاصطناعي والتصنيع المصمم عبر الحاسوب والمزيد غيرها.
سيسلط المؤتمر الذي سينطلق غداً الثلاثاء 16 نوفمبر الضوء على الانتقال من الاقتصادات الخطية إلى الاقتصادات الدائرية وتحول سلاسل التوريد وتطوير أنظمة التصنيع الذكية للجيل القادم، وسيشهد أديبك حضور معالي سارة بنت يوسف الأميري، وزيرة الدولة للتكنولوجيا المتقدمة وسعادة عمر السويدي، وكيل وزير الدولة للتكنولوجيا المتقدمة إلى جانب كبار ممثلي الوزارة كمتحدثين في الحدث.
هذا من المقرر أن يتحدث أبرز الخبراء التقنيين خلال جلسات مؤتمر التصنيع الذكي:
- ستشارك أستريد بوبارت لافارج، رئيس القطاع العالمي لصناعة النفط والغاز والبتروكيماويات في شنايدر إلكتريك، رؤيتها حول محاور التصنيع الذكية في المستقبل، وكيف بإمكان الشركات المحلية والعالمية الاستفادة منها لدعم التنويع والاقتصادات منخفضة الكربون.
- سيقود فهمي الشوا، الرئيس التنفيذي ومؤسس شركة ومختبرات «إيمنسا للتكنولوجيا»، جلسة نقاش حول تحويل سلاسل التوريد التصنيعية، لا سيما كيف تلعب المواد المستدامة دوراً حاسماً في تنفيذ اقتصاد دائري ناجح.
- سيتحدث كارل دبليو فيلدر، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة نيوترال فيولز، عن تكامل المجمعات الصناعية ومشتقات البتروكيماويات مع نظام بيئي ذكي، وكيف توفر مراكز التصنيع الذكية هذه فرصًا جديدة للشراكات والاستثمارات.
وبهذه المناسبة، قال سعادة عمر السويدي، وكيل وزارة الصناعة والتكنولوجيا المتقدمة: “تتماشى منطقة التصنيع الذكية تتماشى بشكل وثيق مع جهود الوزارة لدعم التقنيات الرقمية في جميع أنحاء القطاع الصناعي في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، وقد أطلقنا سلسلة من المبادرات التي ستمهد الطريق لنمو البلاد وتطورها على مدى الخمسين عامًا القادمة في العام الذي تحتفل فيه دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة باليوبيل الذهبي لتأسيسها، ومن أهمها برنامج “الصناعة 4.0″ المصمم لتحفيز تبني حلول الثورة الصناعية الرابعة في القطاع الصناعي في الإمارات بهدف إنشاء اقتصاد قائم على المعرفة قادر على مواكبة النمو والتقدم والازدهار وتحويل القطاع الصناعي في الدولة إلى محرك نمو مستدام طويل الأمد”.
أضاف السويدي قائلاً: يساعد التصنيع الذكي في تبني عدة تقنيات مثل: الذكاء الاصطناعي وإنترنت الأشياء وتحليل البيانات والطباعة ثلاثية الأبعاد لتعزيز الكفاءة والإنتاجية وجودة المنتج، وسيكون عنصرًا حيويًا في قدرتنا التنافسية العالمية في المستقبل، كما ستلعب دورًا رئيسيًا في تلبية التزامنا بالوصول إلى صافي الانبعاثات الصفرية من خلال تقليل استهلاك الطاقة والحفاظ على الموارد الحيوية”.
وأردف السويدي قائلاً: “ستؤكد دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة مكانتها كمركز إقليمي للابتكار من خلال استضافة بعض شركات التصنيع الذكية الرائدة وتقنياتها مع تزويد شركاتنا أيضًا بإمكانية الوصول المباشر إلى أفضل الممارسات العالمية، إنها خطوة مهمة في إلهام حقبة جديدة لقطاع صناعتنا وتعزيز برنامج التنويع الاقتصادي لدينا”.
من جهتها علقت فيديا رامناث، رئيس حلول الأتمتة في الشرق الأوسط وإفريقيا في شركة إيمرسون قائلة: “يوفر أديبك 2021 مكانة لا مثيل لها يمكن من خلالها تسريع الوصول إلى الاستراتيجيات والتقنيات الرقمية الجديدة بالتزامن مع احتضان الحكومات لانتشار مراكز التصنيع الذكية في جميع أنحاء العالم، حيث أصبح التعاون بين صناع القرار وقادة الصناعة التحويلية أكثر أهمية من أي وقت مضى في عالم التطور الصناعي المتسارع من التقنيات اللاسلكية إلى حلول إنترنت الأشياء، حيث سيكون هذا المؤتمر هو الخطوة التالية إلى الأمام بعد مؤتمر الأطراف للمناخ كوب 26، إذ يعد أديبك 2021 المكان المثالي لبناء المرونة وتنشيط الإنتاج الخالي من الكربون لمناقشة ورسم ملامح مساهمة قطاع التصنيع في أهداف صافي انبعاثات صفرية والاستثمارات الخضراء”.
