DUBAI, 20 November 2021 – It was a night to remember for flamenco fans as Jesús Carmona, one of Spain’s leading new-generation flamenco artists, thrilled the audience with his bold creative moves and charismatic improvisations.

Back by a troupe of six dancers and a lone guitarist, Jesús Carmona blended theatre with flamenco, and wowed spectators at the Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre at Expo 2020 Dubai with his electrifying performance on Saturday. Carmona will perform again on Sunday at 1730 GST at the same venue.

Carmona, a principal dancer with the Ballet Nacional de España for three years until 2010, has been creating his own shows as well as partnering with other artists, and performing in theatres and festivals in Spain and across the globe. The multi-award-winning dancer/choreographer gave a taste of his talent for fusing flamenco with other dance forms, including ballet, during the Expo performance.

The show is a co-production with Sadler’s Wells Theatre, Seville Flamenco Biennial and the Flamenco Festival.

دبي، 20 نوفمبر 2021 – أحيا خيسوس كارمونا، المؤدي ومصمم رقصات الفلامنكو الإسباني، اليوم، عرضاً فنياً على مسرح ميلينيوم دبي في إكسبو 2020، شمل لوحات جمعت الرقص والغناء والتمثيل والعزف، حيث يواصل عرضه مساء الأحد في نفس الموقع. 

بضربات قدميه القوية وحركات اليدين التي تنم عن العنفوان، استطاع خيسوس أن يثير انتباه الحضور بمجموعة من اللوحات الفنية التي تسلسلت أحداثها في مشهد مسرحي استحوذ على حواسهم طوال فترة العرض، ليثبت قدرة الرجال على أداء الإيقاعات السريعة بشكل لافت.

ويعد خيسوس كارمونا أحد أكثر الراقصين تميزاً في عروض الفلامنكو حالياً، وتتسم عروضه بالابتكار والدمج مع فن الباليه والحفاظ على التقاليد الأصيلة.

ويعرف عن رقص الفلامنكو أنه يحتاج إلى الخبرة والحس الفني العالي، وأن له خصوصية كونه يتطلب انسجاماً كبيراً بين حركة الجسد والإيقاعات الموسيقية المرافقة.
