DUBAI, 26 November 2021 – The Ballet Folklórico Nacional de Paraguay has entertained Expo 2020 Dubai visitors with traditional folk dances passed down from generation to generation, filled with Guarani legends and mythology. The dance company will be a mainstay at the Paraguay Pavilion for the duration of Expo.

Two of its members – Jamina Notario and Sandra Venialgo – performed at the Sea Stage on Friday. The show included an interpretation of ñandutí weaving, a type of lace embroidered with shapes and colours resembling a spider’s web. In another dance, the performers carried jars on their heads, depicting women’s traditional daily life in parts of rural Paraguay.

Notario, who is from the capital Asuncion, and Venialgo, from the southern city of Encarnación, have been dancing since they were five and four years old respectively.

وقدمت الراقصتان جامينا نوتاريو وساندرا فينالجو اليوم الجمعة، 26 نوفمبر، عرضا على منصة البحر، حملت خلاله كل منهما جرة على رأسها تجسيدا لعمل المرأة الريفية في باراغواي. وجسدت ملابسهما ثقافة باراغواي، حيث رقصتا بالتنانير التقليدية المميزة، المصنوعة من الدانتيل المطرز بأشكال والوان تشبه شبكة العنكبوت، وهي تصاميم تقليدية في باراغواي.

ووصلت كل من نوتاريو وفينالجو إلى إكسبو 2020 دبي يوم الأربعاء، 24 نوفمبر، حيث عبرتا عن سعادتهما بتقديم تلك العروض إلى جمهور إكسبو 2020 دبي المتنوع. وستقدم فرقة باليه “فولكلوريكو الوطني” عروضا في أماكن عدة داخل موقع إكسبو 2020 دبي؛ ويوفر جناح باراغواي للجمهور جدول مواعيد العروض.{:}
