DUBAI, 4 December 2021 – Russia celebrated its National Day at Expo 2020 Dubai on Saturday with an a visit from His Excellency Mikhail Mishustin, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, whose speech at a flag raising ceremony at Al Wasl plaza was followed by a mixture of Russian classic and contemporary symphonic music from Russian pianist, composer and producer Dmitry Malikov, who led an elegant performance alongside an orchestra.
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Mubarak Al Nahayan, UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Commissioner General of Expo 2020 Dubai welcomed His Excellency Mikhail Mishustin, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan said: “Russia’s participation theme, ‘Creative Mind: Driving the Future’, along with its exceptionally-designed pavilion, allows us to experience the magnitude of Russia’s contributions to the world, as home to some of the greatest and most creative minds. At Russia’s pavilion, visitors embark on a journey of discovering Russia’s diverse regions, and learn the stories of Russian ingenuity and innovation, with the key takeaway being that the creative mind is critical for shaping a future that benefits all of humanity.”
Mikhail Vladimirovich Mishustin said: “Expo 2020 is a global event, and we are proud that Russia takes a significant part in the exhibition. It’s a great opportunity to demonstrate innovations in technology, science and culture. I believe that Expo 2020 will contribute to the development and strengthening of the strategic partnership between Russia and the UAE.”
Other events taking place included the second day of the ‘Russia Forum: Driving the Future’ business and networking event; a Music in the Garden performance in Al Wasl from the Kuban Cossack Choir, one of Russia’s leading folkloric ensembles; and a special concert on the Jubilee Stage in the evening, featuring a number of top Russian performers, including singer Yulia Volkova, once part of chart-topping female duo t.A.T.u, and Niletto, a renowned pop and hip-hop artist.
Russia also took its National Day celebrations beyond the Expo site to the foot of the world’s tallest observation wheel, Ain Dubai, on Bluewaters Island. A star-studded line-up of Russian performers and ensembles performed on the island, which is a 20-minute drive from the Expo 2020 site.
Located in the Mobility District, the colourful Russia Pavilion has proven extremely popular with Expo 2020 visitors, with the horizontal lines of the exterior hinting at the creativity inside. Russia has produced some of the world’s foremost creative minds, whether in music, art or invention. These achievements are the starting point to pose a series of questions about the future, understanding each other despite our differences, and connecting people and minds.
Alongside the stories about Russia’s scientific and cultural heritage, visitors will experience traditional Russian food, folk and contemporary culture, as well as Russian hospitality.
National and Honour Days at Expo 2020 Dubai are moments to celebrate each of its 200-plus International Participants, shining a light on their culture and achievements, and showcasing their pavilions and programming. Each features a flag-raising ceremony at the Stage of Nations in Al Wasl Plaza, followed by speeches and cultural performances.
Running until 31 March 2022, Expo 2020 has invited visitors from across the planet to join the making of a new world in a six-month celebration of human creativity, innovation, progress and culture.
{:}{:ar}دبي، 4 ديسمبر 2021 – احتفلت روسيا بيومها الوطني في إكسبو 2020 دبي، اليوم، بحضور ميخائيل ميشوستين، رئيس وزراء روسيا الاتحادية، حيث أقيمت مراسم رفع العلم في ساحة الوصل، عقبها عرض الموسيقى السيمفونية الكلاسيكية والمعاصرة الروسية من أداء عازف البيانو والملحن والمنتج الروسي ديمتري مالكوف.
وقد رحب معالي الشيخ نهيان بن مبارك آل نهيان، وزير التسامح والتعايش الإماراتي والمفوض العام لإكسبو 2020 دبي، بمعالي ميخائيل ميشوستين رئيس وزراء روسيا الاتحادية، والوفد المرافق معه الذي حضر إلى موقع الحدث الدولي لحضور احتفال بلاده باليوم الوطني.
وقال معالي الشيخ نهيان بن مبارك: “إن موضوع المشاركة الروسية في إكسبو 2020 (العقل المبدع.. قيادة المستقبل)، إلى جانب تصميم الجناح الاستثنائي، يسمح لنا بتلمس حجم المساهمات الروسية في العالم من حيث كونها موطناً لأعظم العقول وأكثرها إبداعاً عبر التاريخ”.
وأضاف: “يتمكن الزائر لجناح روسيا من اكتشاف التنوع في هذه الدولة، وتلمس تلك القصص الأصيلة عن البلد عبر الزمن، والاستفادة من شعار الجناح بأن العقل المبدع مهم لتشكيل مستقبل مفيد للإنسان”.
وقال ميخائيل ميشوستين، رئيس وزراء روسيا الاتحادية: “يعد إكسبو 2020 حدثا دوليا، ونحن فخورون بأن روسيا تشارك بشكل كبير فيه. إنها فرصة عظيمة لإظهار الابتكارات في التقنية والعلوم والثقافة. وأعتقد أن إكسبو 2020 سيسهم في تطوير وتعزيز الشراكة الاستراتيجية بين روسيا ودولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة”.
وقد أقيمت في إكسبو 2020، اليوم، فعاليات اليوم الثاني من “منتدى روسيا: قيادة المستقبل”، إلى جانب فعالية الأعمال والتواصل، وعرض فني في ساحة الوصل، إلى جانب عرض موسيقي قدمته فرقة كوبان القوزاق، وهي واحدة من الفرق الفولكلورية الرائدة في روسيا.
وأقيم ضكمن الاحتفال حفل موسيقي خاص على منصة اليوبيل، ضم عددا من كبار الفنانين الروس، بما في ذلك المغنية يوليا فولكوفا، التي كانت جزءا من الثنائي النسائي المتصدر لقوائم الأغاني “تاتو”، ونيليتو، نجم البوب والهيب هوب الشهير.
ويقع جناح روسيا المفعم بالحياة في منطقة التنقل، وقد حاز شعبية كبيرة لدى زوار إكسبو 2020، حيث يوحي تصميم خطوطه الأفقية الخارجية بمدى الإبداع في الداخل، ويقدم لمحة عن أعظم العقول المبدعة في البلاد، سواء في الموسيقى أو الفن أو الاختراع.
الأيام الوطنية والأيام الفخرية في إكسبو 2020 دبي هي أوقات للاحتفاء بكل من مشاركينا الدوليين الذين يزيد عددهم عن 200 مشارك، حيث يُسلط الضوء على ثقافتهم، وإنجازاتهم، وتُعرَض أجنحتهم وبرامجهم. ويضم كل من هذه الأيام الوطنية والفخرية مراسم رفع العلم على منصة الأمم في ساحة الوصل، تليها خطابات وعروض ثقافية.
ويُقام إكسبو 2020 دبي حتى 31 مارس 2022، ويدعو الزوار من جميع أنحاء العالم لنصنع معاً عالماً جديداً، في احتفال بالإبداع البشري، والابتكار، والتقدم، والثقافة يمتد ستة أشهر.{:}
