King Carl XVI Gustaf, accompanied by a number of dignitaries, was welcomed by His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Commissioner General of Expo 2020 Dubai and Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai.
His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf said: “Being here reminds me of a quote by [the late His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Founding Father of the UAE] that is well-known to all Emiratis: ‘A nation without a past is a nation without a present or future’. It is inspiring to see that with the UAE’s impressive development, Emiratis continue to live by his creed. The UAE’s past, present and future is truly reflected here at Expo 2020, as well as throughout this nation. It is my pleasure to congratulate you all on the occasion of the UAE’s Golden Jubilee.”
His Majesty pointed out that both the UAE and Sweden are aiming to build sustainable cities: “Sweden and the UAE stand united behind one ord, and that is innovation. Innovation has played a huge role in Sweden’s economic growth and development… Innovation is not born in a vacuum – innovation thrives through co-creation. Simply put, we are smarter together than apart. And through innovation we are able to find common solutions to common challenges.
“Expo gives us the possibility to develop innovative solutions not just for the good of our own country but for the global market and global good. It is a true opportunity for co-creation, for innovation. I’m confident that the partnership created here at the Expo will strengthen cooperation between Sweden and the UAE and the countries of the world, and that we will be able to generate new ideas and solutions together.”
His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan, said: “Sweden’s participation underlines the importance of focusing on sustainability in every aspect, whereby the Swedish woodlands combine with Islamic geometric design to inspire both the architecture and storytelling of the pavilion, which promotes Sweden as an innovative, sustainable and business-friendly country, which strongly believes that dedication and joint commitment are essential to releasing the powers of creativity and innovation.”
His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan added: “Sweden has been a reliable and cooperative partner of the UAE in various fields of mutual interest, such as environmental and energy technology, business, and education, and we hope to build on the existing partnerships between both our countries as we explore new areas for collaboration at Expo 2020 Dubai.”
The cultural showcase featured Cirkus Cirkör, a leading Scandinavian circus company based in Sweden, as well as the Swedish artist and songwriter, Molly Sandén. Cirkus Cirkör’s performance centred on an energetic acrobatics display, produced for the National Day celebrations.
Molly Sandén, is famous for being the singing voice of Rachel McAdams’ character in the Netflix hit, ‘Eurovision’, and she received an Oscar nomination for best original song in the film, with ‘Husavik.’ The performer lent her strong voice to a Christmas song, ‘Come Whatever, Come What May’ in English and sang some other musical numbers in Swedish.
Located in the Sustainability District, the Sweden Pavilion combines a Nordic woodland-inspired experience with Middle Eastern architectural flair. Visitors can stroll through paths flanked by wooden trunks and learn how Sweden is building smart cities, developing the next generation of travel, innovating life sciences and developing a bio-circular economy. The pavilion’s tree-filled design leads you through a variety of ‘clearings’ among the stylised trunks, where interactive multimedia exhibits explore themed topics. The pavilion showcases next-generation travel systems, allows visitors to immerse themselves in futuristic smart cities, and listen to the authentic sounds of Sweden’s rich woodlands, topped off with a Swedish coffee break.
National and Honour Days at Expo 2020 Dubai are moments to celebrate each of our 200-plus International Participants, shining a light on their culture and achievements, and showcasing their pavilions and programming.
Running until 31 March 2022, Expo 2020 has invited visitors from across the planet to join the making of a new world in a six-month celebration of human creativity, innovation, progress and culture.
{:}{:ar}دبي، 15 ديسمبر 2021 – احتفلت السويد بيومها الوطني في إكسبو 2020 دبي يوم الأربعاء، بزيارة ملكية من جلالة الملك كارل السادس عشر غوستاف ومراسم رفع العلم في ساحة الوصل.
واستقبل كل من معالي الشيخ نهيان بن مبارك آل نهيان، وزير التسامح والتعايش، المفوَّض العام لإكسبو 2020 دبي، ومعالي ريم الهاشمي، وزيرة الدولة لشؤون التعاون الدولي، المدير العام لإكسبو 2020 دبي، جلالة الملك كارل السادس عشر غوستاف، الذي رافقه لفيف من كبار الشخصيات.
وقال جلالة الملك كارل السادس عشر غوستاف: “يذكّرني وجودي هنا بمقولة [للمغفور له بإذن الله الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان، الأب المؤسس لدولة الإمارات] يعرفها جيدا جميع الإماراتيين: ’من ليس له ماضٍ، ليس له حاضر ولا مستقبل‘. من الملهم أن نشهد مواصلة الإماراتيين العيش بموجب مبادئه، مع التقدم اللافت الذي تحرزه دولة الإمارات. وهنا في إكسبو 2020، يتجسد ماضي دولة الإمارات وحاضرها ومستقبلها، وكذلك في جميع أنحاء هذه الدولة. ويسرّني أن أهنئكم جميعا بمناسبة اليوبيل الذهبي لدولة الإمارات”.
وأشار جلالته إلى أن دولة الإمارات والسويد تهدفان إلى بناء مدن مستدامة، من أجل مكافحة التغيّر المناخي. وأضاف قائلا: “توحد السويد ودولة الإمارات صفوفهما خلف كلمة واحدة، هي الابتكار. فالابتكار أدى دورا هائلا في النمو الاقتصادي للسويد وتطورها… وهو لا ينشأ من فراغ، بل يزدهر عبر الإبداع المشترك. وببساطة، فإننا معا نصبح أكثر ذكاء. وعبر الابتكار، يمكننا إيجاد حلول مشتركة للتحديات المشتركة.
“يمنحنا إكسبو 2020 إمكانية تطوير حلول ابتكارية لا تصب في صالح دولتنا فحسب، بل في صالح السوق العالمية والعالم بأكمله. إنه فرصة حقيقية للإبداع المشترك، للابتكار. أنا على ثقة بأن الشراكة التي أبرمناها هنا في إكسبو 2020 ستعزز التعاون بين السويد ودولة الإمارات ودول العالم، وبأننا سنتمكّن معا من ابتداع أفكار وحلول جديدة”.
وقال معالي الشيخ نهيان بن مبارك آل نهيان: “تؤكد مشاركة السويد أهمية التركيز على الاستدامة في كل جانب، حيث تلتقي الغابات السويدية بالتصاميم الهندسية الإسلامية لإلهام فن العمارة وسرد القصص في الجناح، وهو ما يروّج للسويد بوصفها دولة مبتكِرة، ومستدامة، وملائمة للأعمال، ولديها قناعة راسخة بأن التفاني والالتزام المشترك ضروريان لإطلاق العنان للإبداع والابتكار”.
وأضاف معالي الشيخ نهيان بن مبارك آل نهيان، قائلا: “السويد شريك موثوق ومتعاون مع دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة في مختلف المجالات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، مثل تقنيات البيئة والطاقة، والأعمال، والتعليم، ونأمل البناء على الشراكات القائمة بين بلدينا إذ نستكشف مجالات جديدة للتعاون في إكسبو 2020 دبي”.
تضمنت العروض الثقافية عرضا لـ”سيركوس سيركور”، وهي فرقة سيرك اسكندنافية رائدة مقرها السويد، فضلا عن عرض للفنانة ومؤلفة الأغاني السويدية الشهيرة مولي ساندين. صُمم أداء “سيركوس سيركور” خصيصا لهذا اليوم، حيث أدى أربعة فنانين في تناغم تام ألعابا بهلوانية، في عرض يقوم على مفهوم الإبداع المشترك.
اشتهرت مولي ساندين بأدائها الصوت الغنائي لشخصية ريتشيل ماك آدمز في فيلم نتفليكس الناجح “يوروفيجن”، وترشحت لنيل جائزة الأوسكار عن فئة أفضل أغنية أصلية في الفيلم بفضل أغنية “هوسافيك”. وأدت بصوتها القوي أغنية لعيد الميلاد بعنوان “كام واتيفر، كام وات ماي” باللغة الإنجليزية، وغيرها من الأغاني باللغة السويدية.
يقع جناح السويد في منطقة الاستدامة، ويجمع بين تجربة مستوحاة من الغابات الاسكندنافية والطراز المعماري الشرق أوسطي. يمكن للزوار التنزه عبر مسارات تحيط بها جذوع الأشجار ومعرفة كيف تبني السويد المدن الذكية، وتطوّر الجيل المقبل من أساليب السفر، وتبتكر علوم الحياة، وتطوّر اقتصادا دائريا حيويا. تصميم الجناح المليء بالأشجار يقود الزوار عبر مسارات مختلفة بين جذوع الأشجار المصفوفة بصورة منسَّقة، حيث تستكشف معارض الوسائط المتعددة التفاعلية حزمة من الموضوعات. يستعرض الجناح أنظمة السفر للجيل المقبل، ويمنح الزوار تجربة الحياة في المدن الذكية المستقبلية، والاستماع إلى الأصوات الحقيقية للغابات السويدية الوارفة، فضلا عن الاستمتاع باستراحة قهوة سويدية.
الأيام الوطنية والأيام الفخرية في إكسبو 2020 دبي هي أوقات للاحتفاء بكل من مشاركينا الدوليين، الذين يزيد عددهم على 200 مشارك، عبر تسليط الضوء على ثقافتهم، وإنجازاتهم، واستعراض أجنحتهم وبرامجهم. ويضم كل من هذه الأيام الوطنية والفخرية مراسم رفع العلم على منصة الأمم في ساحة الوصل، تليها خطابات وعروض ثقافية.
يُقام إكسبو 2020 دبي حتى 31 مارس 2022، ويدعو الزوار من جميع أنحاء العالم لنصنع معاً عالماً جديداً، في احتفال بالإبداع البشري، والابتكار، والتقدم، والثقافة على مدار ستة أشهر.{:}
