On Saturday 3 December 2022, the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi and Team Thailand in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), together with the Thai Community in the UAE and UAE Thailand Lovers Group, planted 300 Golden Shower Trees, the National Flower of Thailand, to commemorate the 45th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and the UAE, and to celebrate the National Day of the UAE (2 December) and the National Day of Thailand (5 December) this year (2022).planted 300 Golden Shower Trees, the National Flower of Thailand

Collaboration from different sectors both government authorities and private agencies of Thailand and the UAE is the key to the success of this Plantation Project.  The Royal Thai Embassy, therefore, would like to express appreciation to the following authorities and agencies for their valuable support:

– The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE and Abu Dhabi Municipality for facilitations on the venues for the Project, trees planting process, and long-term trees maintenance procedures;

– Thai private sectors, namely PTT MEA LTD, PTTEP MENA LTD – Abu Dhabi, SCG International Middle East Trading LLC, Bumrungrad International Hospital, Vega Intertrade & Exhibitions LLC, B.Grimm Group, Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi Hotel, and Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai for the financial support for this Project;

– Yak Green Company of Thailand, which is an innovative agricultural company covering services on trees sale and plantation, land development, and landscape design, for the selection and transportation of high-quality 300 Golden Shower Trees from Thailand to the UAE for this Project.

– The Thai community in the UAE, and the Emiratis for joining this Plantation Project, reflecting cordial and long-lasting bonds of friendship between our two countries and peoples.
