Moroccan resort strengthens its international golf profile following the successful hosting of two professional tournaments
El Jadida, September 17, 2026 : Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort in Morocco has become the first golf venue outside Asia to join Asian Tour Destinations (ATD), marking a milestone for the resort and expanding the network beyond Asia for the first time.
Mazagan becomes the 13th venue to join ATD, an exclusive network of world-class golf destinations with direct ties to the Asian Tour. The announcement follows the resort’s hosting of back-to-back professional golf events earlier this summer on the Asian Tour and Asian Development Tour (ADT), further strengthening its relationship with the sport at the highest level.
Located near El Jadida on Morocco’s Atlantic coast, around one hour by car from Casablanca, Mazagan hosted the am green IGPL Bharath Classic on the Asian Development Tour in May, followed the next week by the am green IGPL Morocco Rising Stars on the Asian Tour.
Both tournaments were jointly sanctioned with the Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL). Thailand’s Tanapat Pichaikool won the Bharath Classic, while Sweden’s Charlie Lindh claimed the Morocco Rising Stars title.

Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort features an award-winning 18-hole golf course designed by nine-time Major winner Gary Player. The resort also offers 500 contemporary rooms and suites, a luxury spa, outdoor swimming pools and direct access to seven kilometres of sandy beach.

Through its association with Asian Tour Destinations, Mazagan will benefit from a range of branding and marketing opportunities, as well as closer engagement and networking with other member venues. ATD members are certified as Tour-calibre venues, with the facilities and services required to operate under tournament-ready conditions throughout the year.
Asian Tour players are also able to play and practise at member venues, creating opportunities for club members to engage directly with some of the Tour’s leading golfers.
The network includes venues in Singapore, Thailand, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia and Cambodia, with Mazagan now becoming its first member outside Asia.
